The Shippon is a contemporary, semi-detached cottage resting in the Cheshire village of Helsby, enjoying a scenic location with open fields and countryside whilst within easy reach of Chester and Ellesmere Port.

Avid golfers can enjoy a round at the Helsby Green Golf Club and Frodsham Golf Course, whilst walkers will be drawn to the National Trust owned Helsby Hill, commanding breathtaking views of Cheshire and the North Cheshire Way which stretches for 70 miles from the Wirral to the Peak District.

The location of this property provides easy access to some of the North West’s top attractions, including the city of Chester, home to the renowned Chester Zoo where you can see over 35,000 animals, as well as the historic Tudor Rows, offering a quality selection of independent shops and boutiques.

There is also the natural beauty of North Wales and the Snowdonia National Park within easy reach or take off in other directions and to explore Liverpool and Manchester, which are easily accessible via train.

Helsby is a village and civil parish in Cheshire, England. There is suggestion the village dates back to the late Mesolithic and early Neolithic era, meaning there is an abundance of history to be found here. Helsby Hill is a wooded sandstone and is mostly owned by the National Trust. With numerous footpaths in the area, leading towards the famous hill fort, giving those active types plenty of walking opportunities. Rock climbers will love this village, as Helsby Hill features a craggy face, giving climbers the perfect opportunity to see how far they can get before tiring! Helsby offers a local supermarket, pub and café for fine food and local produce. Ideally situated for exploring the towns of Ellsemere Port and Warrington, or the walled city of Chester, with so many sites and tourist attractions to be seen.
