    The air was too damp outside to dry on a line or the clothes horse provided, and they did not dry overnight in the property either.

    The little welcoming gifts of milk, wine and Bara brith cake were much appreciated.The hot tub was great with the cover, protected us from the rain on a couple of evening. Paddy plaice chip shop in Criccieth is a must along with the cafe No64 High street, where the quiche is to die for

  • "Excellent cottage furnished, fitted and equipped to a very high standard, spotlessly clean and with lots of unusual little extras, like USB charger sockets for phones and HDMI link leads for streaming to the TVs."

    Our hosts were very friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The big plus was the lovely hot tub, equipped with a roof, making it immune to the weather! A very good centre for exploring the Llyn peninsular and Snowdonia, as well as many local attractions. We certainly hope to return soon.

Tucked away in the peaceful village of Llanystumdwy is this charming, ground-floor cottage, Tyddyn Sianel – Onnen.

This stone-built retreat is perfect for families or two couples looking to escape normality and tour this scenic Welsh region.

The open-plan living space is sure to be the social hub of the home, complete with a well-appointed kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and even a dishwasher, so you’ll have no trouble washing up!

Gather round the dining table for a home-cooked feast, popping open a bottle of fizz in the process, before getting comfortable in the reclining armchairs and watching a movie on the Smart TV.

Alternatively, take the evening outside to your very own enclosed patio where you can relax on the patio furniture or savour a dip in the bubbly hot tub.

As you tire, there are two tasteful bedrooms in which to rest, including a king-size and double, each with wall-mounted TVs and oak wardrobes.

Wake up refreshed and head to the shower room for a quick rinse before going about the day.

Tyddyn Sianel Farm Cottages

Resting in the peaceful Tyddyn Sianel Farm are three romantic ground-floor cottages, all with their own hot tubs and private seating areas, perfect for several couples to enjoy a coastal getaway. The village of Llanystumdwy is small yet holds a good deal of history as it is the birthplace of a former Prime Minister, David Lloyd George, and home to the Lloyd George Museum in his childhood home along with a memorial park. Also nearby is the fantastic Dragon Raiders Activity Park where you can let loose and have some fun doing paintballing, quad biking, or riding a Segway. Criccieth can offer a wider selection of pubs and shops along with a beautiful coastline; enjoy a walk up the headland to Criccieth Castle, built by Llywelyn the Great in the 13th century; it commands sublime views over the town and across Cardigan Bay. Head along the Llyn Heritage Coast and visit the harbour town of Pwllheli, renowned for its sailing and watersports, it has one of the best marinas in the UK, as well as a cinema and a golf course, and a long sandy beach. Discover the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Harlech Castle, enjoying a background consisting of Snowdonia's rugged peaks, and with a delightful town built around it, home to the 'steepest street in the world' and the gorgeous Harlech Beach. Venture into the Snowdonia National Park for some excellent walking terrain and routes and enjoy the seaside town of Porthmadog.

Often described as the 'Pearl of Wales on the shores of Snowdonia’, this delightful seaside town is situated just 5 miles from Porthmadog. The town’s 13th-century castle perches majestically on a rocky outcrop, dominating the skyline and offering superb views of Tremadog Bay and the Snowdonia mountains. Watersports enthusiasts will be delighted by the two beaches, whilst walkers and bikers are spoilt for choice by the proximity of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park. Stroll along the beaches, watch porpoises playing in the surf, or relax in the various pubs, restaurants and tea rooms, sampling the famous Cadwalader’s ice cream.
