"This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this beautiful, cosy cottage & had a wonderful time."
We had the snow which made the village & surrounding hills look very pretty & picturesque. We walked Blackstone Edge & the Bridestones Moor & Stoodley Pike in the snow, which was stunning. The village is really charming, good local shop & great buses round the area. We don't have a car & didn't need one as the buses/train service gets you everywhere you need to go. The cottage is warm, welcoming & homely to come back to and has everything you need. It's spotless & the autumnal touches were lovely. We'll be back, so thank you Heather & Tony for another fab holiday in your cottage.
Thank you Julia. Glad you had another great stay. You are always welcome to come back any time. Property Owner

"A lovely well equipped home from home cottage, the cottage has everything you need for your stay."
Heptonstall is a lovely village with easy access by public transport or car to many locations with plenty of walks on the doorstep.
Thank you for your great feedback, Louise. Property Owner

"Weavers Cottage offers a cosy and comfortable place to stay right at the heart of this historic, high Pennine village."
Full of character and well equipped, this little cottage is a perfect base from which to explore the beautiful wooded valleys and high moors to either side.
Thank you so much, Peter, for taking the time to leave your lovely feedback. Property Owner

Cottage was absolutely fantastic. Friendly village and great walking.
Thank you for leaving such lovely feedback. We’d welcome you back anytime. Property Owner

"Nice cosy clean cottage."
Stairs to top room are not for the faint hearted but this is described in the listing however our son loved his ‘den’ room he called it. Great location for everything this beautiful area has to offer. 2 pubs & tea shop in the village are all good especially the Thai option. Good to walk down to Hebden Bridge through Eaves Woods and amazing views from the top. All in all a great week and would recommend Weavers Cottage.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such positive feedback. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

"Was a pleasure to stay in Weavers cottage."
Very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Heather contacted me previously to advise me that cottage would be available earlier than thought which was much appreciated. Also provided for our little pooch. Fabulous cottage in a fabulous village.
Many thanks for taking the time to leave your lovely feedback. We'd welcome you back anytime! Property Owner

"Lovely cosy cottage in the heart of the village."
The modern kitchen is extremely well equipped and the owners very thoughtfully provided extras such as milk, cake, tea bags and coffee. The lounge has the added bonus of a wood-burner fire although we didn’t use it as we felt comfortable temperature-wise but we would imagine it would be great during the cooler months of the year. The main bedroom is very spacious and the double-bed extremely comfortable - there is lots of storage space to put away clothes. The loft bedroom would be excellent for a child to sleep in with the added safety of a stair-gate at the top of the staircase. The space in the cellar as a utility room has been out to great use with a washing machine and clothes airer, cleaning items and also a high chair and extra stair-gate. Plenty of hot water for a shower at the end of a day’s walking and more than enough loo-rolls provided for a week’s stay - the owners have really thought about looking after their guests. Wi-Fi was really good. We would definitely recommend staying in Weaver’s Cottage due to its fantastic location to nearby Hebden-Bridge and lots of brilliant local walks nearby. It’s not too far to explore a bit further afield, for example, Haworth, Ilkley,, Saltaire or walking along the canal path to Sowerby Bridge. The bus and train services are both excellent if you want to use public transport instead of driving every day. A real home from home holiday experience, Thank you Heather and Tony! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such comprehensive feedback! It was our pleasure to host you and we hope you come back to stay again some time. Many thanks again. Property Owner

"This is our second stay at Weaver's cottage & had a great time."
The cottage is spotless, perfect for a relaxing break & lovely to come home to after a day trekking in the hills. Good contact from the owner, Heather, prior to checking in & the cottage is a credit to them. We would absolutely recommend this lovely cottage & it's a lovely area for a great holiday.
Thank you Julia, as previously it was a real pleasure to have you come and stay. Thank you for taking the time to leave such positive, lovely comments. Hopefully you will be back! Property Owner

"Shown on the Sykes website with a perfect 5 rating."
Wouldn't argue with that. This lovely cottage is well located in this beautiful village with two great pubs and a shop. Bus stop within 50 yards and a fantastic regular service, best we've used in a rural area. Good rail service in nearby Hebden Bridge to explore the area. Great walks from the cottage including some a bit challenging. The property was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Highly recommended! Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay in the cottage & the delights of Heptonstall! Property Owner

"I stayed here from the 2-9th March with my son and dog."
We had a fantastic week and the cottage is lovely. I would point out that if you're not great on your legs it could be very difficult as the second you leave the front door you're on a hill. Heptonstall is a stunning little village with cobbled streets & a warm atmosphere. Lots of walks in and around Hebden Bridge and the walk down from the cottage is great aslong as you're fit
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner
-
"The property is ideally located within a beautiful village, with 2 great pubs opposite."
A lovely, steep (!) walk down to Hebden Bridge. It was well equipped, cosy and comfortable. Excellent contact on the morning of our arrival giving directions and key safe information. Would recommend and revisit.
Many thanks for taking the time to leave feedback. It was our pleasure to have you stay and we would welcome you back any time. Property Owner

"Had a super week in Weavers Cottage."
A lovely cottage un a lovely location with great walking from the door. We didn't use the car all week. Great communication from the owners too. Would love to return.

"Beautiful little cottage had everything we needed."
The back courtyard is small, but we took our dog to the nearby field ( 5 mins walk) . The shop next door is very handy and has a good range of essentials, try the local Sausages! The owners of the cottage were great and let us know when the cottage was ready. Plus we needed their help one day and couldn’t have had a quicker helping hand. The village has 2 very welcoming public houses and there is lots around to do and visit if the weather is in your favour’
Thank you so much for your detailed feedback. It was our pleasure to have you stay and we hope to welcome you back! Property Owner

"The cottage is well presented and an ideal location we use it for visits to see ..."
The cottage is well presented and an ideal location we use it for visits to see family locally we have stayed there frequently in the last few years and with the good rail service at Hebden Bridge it is easy to travel East to York or West to Manchester looking out of the window down the cobbled street it is almost a timeless view we always thoroughly enjoy staying there
Thanks for your feedback Howard. Always good to have you come back to stay at Weavers Cottage. Property Owner
-
"A delightful cottage, comfortable and well equipped (without excess, sometimes cottages have over cluttered cupboards etc."
This one had just enough). Everything seemed in good condition and was clean on arrival. It's well sited in this beautiful village, close to the post office, tearoom and local pubs with lots of walking possibilities straight from the door! We look forward to coming back sometime.
Thank you very much for leaving such positive feedback - it is always good to hear what our guests think & helps us to make improvements where we can. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay in the village. Property Owner
-
"I recommend this lovely clean, comfortable cottage in the centre of an attractive old village which has cobble stone roads and history at each corner."
The owner was very welcoming regarding key collection and providing local info. Local countryside walks from cottage or into Hebden Bridge; there is an excellant bus service to Hebden Bridge close by (with onward bus and train services in HB) so only used the car once in a week! 2 pubs in the village and the friendly Fox and Goose pub just a steep walk or bus ride away should be visited.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your kind feedback. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Heptonstall. Property Owner
-
"This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful village."
The cottage was spotless with everything you need. There was a cake & milk from the owners which was much appreciated. Good communication from the owners prior to our arriving & we felt very welcome. There is an excellent bus service into Hebden Bridge from the village & lots of walks from the door. The post office shop has a good selection of necessaries, the tea room is nice & there are two very good pubs. We had a great week in Weavers cottage & would love to come back again.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. Happy to have you back any time! Property Owner
-
"Beautiful cottage with everything we needed in a fantastic location, very comfortable beds and the accommodation was spotless."
We enjoyed a lovely 4 night break exploring the area and were all sad to leave. Owner left some milk, cake and fire starter kit which was a lovely welcoming touch. Cottage is in a beautiful historical village and a short drive from Hebden Bridge. It was our first visit to Yorkshire and were amazed at how many family friendly attractions there were. We'd have no hesitation to recommend the cottage to friends and relatives.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We would love to welcome you back anytime! Property Owner

"We had an exceptionally lovely stay at Weavers Cottage."
Heptonstall is a beautiful place and the cottage was a perfect base from which to explore. It was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. We slept really well. Everything was easy to use, such as TV and cooker. There is an excellent post office/shop next door and a café/bakery opposite. The car park is very close by. Hebden Bridge is a short walk/bus ride away. There are also two great pubs to relax in after a day out walking. The Heptonstall Museum was open too and worth a visit. All in all, a fabulous stay.
Thank you very much for your great feedback. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Do visit us again! Property Owner

"We were extremely pleased with the property."
Very comfortable and all facilities were in good working order. Communication was easy and all advise was accurate and straightforward. One minor query prior to arrival was parking, but there is plenty close by. Would we book again ? Most definitely.

"Beautiful cosy cottage in lovely Heptonstall comfy bed and sofa and all so clean, also really nice to have towels and even plenty of toilet rolls haha, the owners have got it so right."
Lovely little community shop next door so handy as was the cafe across the way to eat in or take away we also had all our evening meals in the 2 public houses couldn’t fault them either. Would definitely stay again.
Thank you for your lovely feedback & for leaving the cottage so clean and tidy. We would welcome you back anytime. Property Owner

"Lovely little cottage!"
Very well maintained and has everything you need. The two pubs in village both serve nice food and good beer. The owner called shortly before we arrived to advise on key collection and told us she was on hand if we needed anything during our stay. Some great walks right on your doorstep albeit would be a challenge for some.
Thank you for your lovely & informative feedback. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

"Weavers cottage was warm, comfortable & well equipped, we would highly recommend both the cottage & the wider area of Calderdale, the mix of wild rural moors, industrial heritage & steep sided valleys, absolutely fascinating."

"The cottage is beautifully decorated with up to date fixtures and fittings."
Lovely little gestures such as the dog bowls, bath salts, more than one loo roll and a cake on arrival!!

Loved our holiday in Heptonstall
Thank you for your great feedback & so pleased you enjoyed your Christmas break at the cottage. Property Owner

"We are really surprised about our stay."
-
"The cottage is very comfortable and clean, it's in a lovely village with plenty of walks from the doorstep."
The Christmas decorations added to the atmosphere of the cottage and were a nice touch. The owner is very friendly and makes sure you have everything you need. This was our second visit to the cottage this year so proof of how much we enjoy staying there. Highly recommended.
-
"Lovely little cottage, well equipped and cosy."
Thank you for taking the time to submit your very positive feedback. Property Owner
-
"We had a lovely time at the cottage."
Very nice touches especially with the treat for our dog. The bed was slightly uncomfy and it was very noisy with cars and buses driving by. This did disturb the dog.
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. A reason for the mattress feeling slightly on the firm side could have been that it was brand new and you were the first guests to sleep on it. One of the benefits of our cottage is that is situated centrally in the village and we feel lucky to have such a regular bus service. The windows are double glazed. Property Owner
-
"Warm, cosy & well equipped cottage ideal for a couple plus dog."
Very atmospheric & historic village of Heptonstall has 2 pubs, a tiny but well stocked community PO / shop, a great cafe which sells a good choice of home made frozen meals to take away & a lovely craft shop - check opening times ! Whilst we wanted for nothing during our stay the owner is really helpful & approachable. Well recommended.
Thank you so much for your lovely & informative feedback. It was our pleasure to have you stay in the cottage and you are welcome to return any time! Property Owner
-
"The cottage was lovely, it was spotless, comfortable and very well equipped."
Probably the best one we have stayed in.
Many thanks for your kind feedback and we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

"We really enjoyed our stay."
The cottage was lovely and exceeded all our expectations. It was very well equipped and contained everything we needed (and more). The owners have gone above and beyond to make their guests welcome. We will definitely be returning.
Thank you for your very kind feedback. It was our pleasure to have you stay and you are welcome back any time. Property Owner

"Superb cottage in the historic village of Heptonstall."
Great location, lovely walks in the village and beyond. White Lion was great and good bus service to Hebden Bridge and beyond. Steep, challenging hills but that is part of the charm of the area. Cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Free parking a massive bonus. Halifax and "Gentleman Jack" Shibden Hall close by as is Haworth, Saltaire, Hardcastle Crags and Stoodley Pike. Highly recommended.
Thank you for your kind and informative feedback. Glad you enjoyed your stay and would be happy to welcome you back. Property Owner

"The cottage is lovely, clean and decorated to a high standard and has everything you need during your stay."
It is situated in a lovely village with great walks from the doorstep so we didn't need to use the car all week. Great cafe in the village and plenty of choice of pubs nearby and close to Hebden Bridge for pubs/restaurants/station. Bus 596 runs regularly if you don't fancy the walk back up the steep hill from Hebden Bridge.
Thanks for the great feedback - happy to host you back at Weaver's Cottage any time. Thanks also for the great suggestion of having a radio in the kitchen - we have already ordered one and it will be placed in the kitchen ASAP! Property Owner
-
"Not enough crockery etc."
to feed the dishwasher and still have enough to use. Could not log on to streamed tv so more instructions for tv would help. Generally a very nice cottage perfectly situated for local amenities in a charming and interesting village. Excellent cafe/take away opposite (in fact so good didn’t cook a meal the entire holiday). Lovely walks in vicinity so no need to use car unless travelling further out, 20 mins walk into Hebden Bridge down a fairly steep path but convenient bus back to avoid slog back up hill. Owners really helpful in sorting out queries. All in all a good experience.
Hi, Thanks for the feedback & also the comments on the crockery - this had not really occurred to us, so we have now provided more! Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Although we do actively avoid having too many such items filling the kitchen cupboards - it is easier to monitor what needs replacing that way. Property Owner
-
"The cottage was immaculate."
One of the cleanest cottages I have stayed in. Stylish, contemporary furniture and decor with a great bathroom and kitchen. It also had fast wifi. Heptonstall itself is a wonderful village to stay in. It has 2 good pubs, a great cafe and a small community shop. It is also worth mentioning the great bus service that runs regularly and until late at night. Therefore, easy to get down to Hebden and back. I was able to ditch the car for the whole week! Hebden Bridge has many great cafes and pubs and the area is walkers paradise. You can walk along the canal or go up into the hills. Also, make sure you walk to Gibson Mill and Hardcastle crags - a really delightful walk. If you are a single person or couple, I would really recommend Weaver's cottage.
-
"Great Location."
. Good bus route, needed if you are older as Hills unmanageable... COTTAGE IS fabulous
-
"Lovely, well equipped cottage."
Very comfortable.
-
"Fabulous find, both the cottage and the village, everyone was very welcoming Thoroughly enjoyed it."
Owners helpful Cottage very clean and comfortable, everything you could need. Plenty of walks from a breathtaking location and a good bus service.
-
"Such a delightful, comfortable cottage in an area of outstanding beauty, with loads of wonderful walks, with 2 great pubs with such friendly staff."
Thank you for a wonderful stay
-
"Weaver’s Cottage is a fabulous property in the delightful setting of Heptonstall."
The cottage has been tastefully renovated to a high standard and was spotlessly clean on arrival. Headroom is limited in places but is a price worth paying to be able to embrace the character of the village and all it has to offer, including excellent walking terrain from the doorstep. Pre-arrival contact from owner Heather was informative and helpful. We hope to be able to return one day.
-
"A wonderful stay and the cottage was perfect for us."
The best equipped we've ever stayed at over the years. Super hosts and always available. A great location in the village, Hebden Bridge and surrounding areas for walks and public transport. Overall, an excellent and charming place to stay.
-
"Absolutely lovely cottage in a great location - perfect base for walking and for exploring Hebden Bridge."
Heather was a kind an attentive host. We had a great stay and would love to return in the future.
-
"This was our second stay at Weaver's cottage."
We booked again because it is such a lovely place to stay. The property is very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The owners had installed a fibre optic Christmas tree for the period, which was a lovely touch. The village is absolutely gorgeous and the villagers very friendly. Although Hebden Bridge is fabulous, after visits we loved going back to the cosy cottage, and the quietness and beauty of Heptonstall. I hope we can return.
-
"Have stayed here several times now and always look forward to going back ."
Friendly owners, great location and the cottage has everything you could possibly need.
-
"The cottage was everything you would want for a lovely holiday"
-
"Amazing, just like the picture, so clean, better than expected."
We are a family of 2adults, 1 teenager and 1 dog and this cottage was everything we needed for a great getaway. When we contacted the owner regarding the key collection she was lovely, helpful and went the extra mile. We would highly recommend this cottage
-
"Perfectly and generously equipped cottage, fantastic location for walking."
-
"What a lovely cottage perfect in every way beautifully presented and with everything you need for a perfect break."
We have stayed in a lot of cottages over the years but Weavers Cottage is the one we have enjoyed the most hope to return again soon
-
"The cottage was perfect in every way, the only comment I would like to make is the car parking situation is somewhat limited and just maybe the situation is not clear enough in the information."
Just a small point.
-
"The cottage was lovely!"
I would definitely recommend. It was a cosy and comfy cottage. We both just want wanted a relaxing week away and the cottage had everything we needed and more.
-
"Weavers Cottage came up when we were searching for the Yorkshire dales, and it is actually quite a way away, particularly as the direct road was closed for repairs whilst we were there."
But there are also some very pleasant walks in the immediate area. It's a steep climb to walk, and not very well signposted, from Hebden Bridge where most of the restaurants are, to Heptonstall. So we tended to take the car. The cottage itself is small but excellently appointed. No serious outdoor space -- a tiny, very enclosed back yard. All reasonable Covid precautions were taken and we (a couple) had a very happy week based there.
-
"Cottage was cosy, comfortable and well equipped, right in the centre of the village."
Very dog friendly. Owners on hand if needed and always helpful. Cottage in a great location for walking and exploring the local area. Tea rooms, Post Office and 2 good pubs within easy walking distance, also amazing bus service into local town if not wanting to drive.
-
"Absolutely fabulous cottage, warm, cosy and in a great location within the village, great little bus service to hebden bridge and surrounding areas we would highly recommend a visit to both the cottage and area, looking forward to returning in the future."
-
"Beautiful cottage in an idyllic location."
Perfect base for exploring the local area and for some beautiful walks. Both of the local pubs in the village were lovely, friendly people would definitely recommend.
-
"This was our families first 'cottage holiday' and what a exceptional holiday to begin with!"
The cottage is beautifully presented, cozy and very welcoming upon arrival. The village itself is very quaint with it's cobbled streets and friendly locals, and it's location is perfect as it is central to many public footpaths... we took four walks during our stay and never took the same route twice! We enjoyed every part of this holiday so much so we have booked already to visit and explore again.

"Home from home"

"Lovely cottage and great location for walking."

"This one was special."
We loved everything about this cottage, located in the beautiful village of Heptonstall. It was sparkling clean and very bright. The living room furniture was curl-up comfortable. Linens and towels were fresh. The efficient kitchen looks like it had just been finished the morning we moved in. Wood and fire-starter were available and the fireplace was welcome on the lone cold and rainy day. Yes, even the weather co-operated. Milk and red-velvet cake greeted us on our arrival and we enjoyed them in the private garden. We discovered that the White Swan, as well as having friendly staff, makes a wonderful cheese and onion pie. We found lots to do in the surrounding area including visits to Haworth and Hebden Bridge and hikes to Gibson Mill and beyond. In hindsight, we wish we had booked for 2 weeks rather than the single week. We highly recommend and will certainly be back.
-
"Great weather."
Fantastic home from home cottage.Cleanliness second to none and located in the middle of a delightful historic village.Tony and Heather were more than helpful and we left Weavers Cottage with fond memories.Looking forward to staying there again in the near future. Raymond McCracken.
-
"The cottage is very well appointed, quality furnishing, everything you could possibly need was there."
Good location for exploring. Heather and Tony are lovely people, friendly and always happy to help with anything. They have given lots of love and attention to making the cottage a cosy home from home retreat by providing all the small things such as a dog bed, dog treats, and dog towel for a rub down after walks, not to mention all the extra things you need in the kitchen, such as kitchen towels, washing up liquid, tea bags, etc. Would highly recommend this cottage.
-
"Cottage and facilities beautifully presented with some very nice touches, like a welcome cake and dog biscuits."
Cosy and comfortable, this is lovely place for couples.......with or without a pet. Location wise the cottage is very conveniently situated with, two pubs, a coffee shop and a small convenience store/post office next door. One disappointment was that the narrow cobbled streets and the unexpected level of thru traffic made for some fairly noisy awakenings each day. Overall though a great place top stay.
-
"The cottage is fantastic with all you need."
We forgot our dog's bed and the owners lent us one, which was great. there was milk in the fridge on arrival which is a nice touch.
-
"Great little cottage a true credit to the owners in a wonderful village"
-
"Wonderful quaint cottage, well equipped with everything you need over 4 floors."
We had a brilliant time and used all the facilities for cooking, washing and snuggling up in front of the fire. Great village location with 2 pubs, tea room and shop. Regular bus service into Hebden Bridge as steep bank to walk which is ok on way down but challenging on way back. Everywhere very dog friendly including pubs and shops. Highly reccimend!
-
"It was really nice and did what it should only problem was the car parking if ..."
It was really nice and did what it should only problem was the car parking if you went out at night just no parking unless you went to car park350 m away
-
"We have rented Seven cottage's from Sykes over the last few years and this is one of the best if not the best, everything you need over four floors parking round the corner through a narrow gap but not a problem cafe shops & pubs on the door step, ten minutes walk into town but does take longer to get back it's as its very steep but worth it."
Tony the landlord who runs post office next door is a lovely chap & very helpful will definitely return.
-
"A beautiful cottage in a perfect location."
The owners were very accommodating and thoughtful ensuring we had the perfect stay. The locals were welcoming, the 3 pubs in the area provided excellent facilities and again were very welcoming. Hebden Bridge, less than a mile away was the perfect place for a stroll round and have a bite to eat or drink. We also ordered a take away from the local Indian which was the best Indian meal we have both had for a long time. The Village itself is steeped in history with a beautiful church. All in all it was the perfect retreat for us to relax after a busy year and refresh ready for 2019. We will definitely return!
-
"Beautifully presented cottage with everything we needed."
Nothing had been forgotten. There were dishwasher tablets and washing powder and everything you could possibly need. We arrived to a delicious red velvet cake and treats for the dog. Very comfortable bed and huge bathroom. Gorgeous kitchen with quality appliances. Stunning village with beautiful walks from the doorstep. We stayed for 4 nights and didn't feel to need to use the car at all.
-
"We had a superb holiday here."
The cottage is perfect for 2 people. Even though it was November we never used the log burner as the central heating is so efficient and we were rarely in for an evening. With plenty of storage space and a well equipped kitchen we could have stayed a lot longer. Such a joy to have a full size hob and an oven as well as provision not only of washing up liquid but dish washer tablets and washing powder for the machine. All the locals we met were friendly and helpful giving us advice on local walks. There's no shortage of waymarked paths to walk from the village. A real home from home. We hope to return next year.
-
"Weavers Cottage is delightful, very well equipped and immaculately clean."
Helpful owners and lots of nice extra touches - chocolate cake on arrival, milk, a little bottle of wine, teabags and coffee. The bed in the main bedroom is comfortable, the over-bath shower is good and the separate utility room is a bonus. Our teen liked his top floor bedroom. Heptonstall is a historic gem and you can walk straight out into glorious countryside. It's peaceful, but has buzzy Hebden Bridge just down the (steep) road with a regular bus service. The village has two excellent pubs and the New Delight Inn at Colden is a lovely walk. We thoroughly recommend it.
-
"Excellent holiday home with many extras."
Helpful hosts too. Good bus service!
-
"We had an amzing break at Weavers cottage Hepstonstall - the cottage exceeded all expectations."
The owners attention to detail and thoughtfulness was outstanding - could not have asked for anything more. We will definitely visit again
-
"We have stayed in 3 different holiday lets in Heptonstall."
This is by far the best.
-
"The cottage is lovely and in a village that has history on the doorstep."
It sits above the town of Hebden Bridge so the walks up and down are a challenge but there is a regular bus service. Hebden Bridge is a busy market town that has many independent shops and eateries. There are shops that if you enjoy crafts are lovely to browse in and appreciate the talents people have. Walking routes are plentiful; can be along the canal paths or over the moors and along the valleys. Many are accessible from the cottage, so the car can enjoy a rest! The Pennine Way is close by too. Parking is restricted in the village, so no direct space outside the cottage but a car park is nearby. Weavers Cottage is warm, cosy and ideal for those wishing to explore the sights of West Yorkshire. The owners were very obliging and the welcome touch was appreciated too.
-
"Cottage was immaculate, cosy, owner provided alot of things."
Just returned from our holiday and have booked the cottage again in may
-
"The cottage has been renovated to a very high standard and was very comfortable."
Cleanliness could not be faulted. Milk, tea and ground coffee were provided as well as a small bottle of Prosecco and chocolates (which were very nice). The owners were very friendly and keen to ensure we enjoyed our stay. There is a bus that runs from the village into Hebsen Bridge and the railway station if you don't want to use the car or walk. I can highly recommend the cottage for anyone wanting to stay in this part of England and we will definitely be returning in the future.
-
"The cottage and village was warm and welcoming, Tony our host thought of everything from a goody bag of wine and chocolate to milk, tea, coffee and logs to get us started."
The cottage has been renovated to a high standard with a handy laundry/wet room and everything we needed kitchen wise. We just had to turn up and enjoy. We can't wait to return.
-
"Beautiful cottage in a lovely village."
Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. A real " home from home" Friendly owner who ensured we were happy. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to stay in this wonderful area of the country.
-
"Great character cottage in a wonderful location."
The owners were very helpful and friendly. A real home from home.
-
"The owners of the cottage run the Post Office/General Store next door and are therefore on hand for any queries or last minute emergencies (such as running out of coffee."
.). The cottage was a delight.

About the location
HEPTONSTALL
Hebden Bridge 1.5 mile; Haworth 8 miles.
The village of Heptonstall is set high on a prominent hillside above its close neighbour, Hebden Bridge. Heptonstall is one of West Yorkshire's best kept secrets; a wonderfully preserved village with a main street that has changed very little in the last 200 years. Formerly an important centre for hand-loom weaving, the village still retains its original trading hall, while the old Grammar School, by the churchyard, is now a museum testifying to the village's illustrious past. The churchyard is also the burial home for the American poet, novelist & short-story writer Sylvia Plath, perhaps best known for her collections of published poems & novel "The Bell Jar". Heptonstall was a place she stayed in before & during her marriage to the poet Ted Hughes. In the centre are the two remaining pubs, the Cross Inn, believed to date from the early 17th century, and the White Lion, rumoured to be haunted by a Roundhead on a horse, a throwback to when the village was besieged during the Civil War. Nearby is the attractive town of Hebden Bridge, while the area is a must for steam railway enthusiasts who will enjoy the thriving Worth Valley Railway. Skipton, the Gateway to the Dales, is an easy and scenic car ride away.
Note: Babes-in-arms and children over 10 years old only.
Please Note: There are steep stairs to the lower ground floor utility room where there is restricted headroom, also there is a spiral staircase with open tread stairs to the second floor bedroom where there is restricted headroom as well.
