  • "We received a lovely welcome from Bill."

The accommodation was spotless and very well situated. This place is awesome if you have a dog as it is within 4 acres. Getting to Saltburn (awesome) is easy and all the other main routes along the East Coast are within easy reach. The village Fish and Chip shop is world class and a local pub, The Jolly Sailor, serves up good grub, also. All in all a great stay.

The owner seems very friendly and approachable and the cottage is well equipped. We stayed in November so appreciated the fact that the property was heated. The floors are all tiled so anyone who is unsteady on their feet would be advised to take slippers and be careful. We also had trouble drying our shoes and clothes, but then maybe I shouldn't have fallen in the sea!

Alternatively, the Yorkshire Moors are also within easy distance. We were thrillled with the garden & the outlook. it was lovely to sit outside & take in the lovely views across to the sea in the distance. Our dogs loved the freedom they had! Rabbits can be seen running across the adjoining field. The very helpful & friendly owners are on site should you have any issues or just want some local information but as another reviewer has said, they leave you to enjoy your holiday. The cottage is more than adequate for two people but it does need a bigger fridge, even for just two. We struggled to fit more than just a few things in.
