  • "Lovely cottage and been coming back for quite a few years now."

Perfectly located in lower bay and very spacious. Particularly love the ensuite bathroom with skylight and being woken by the seagulls! Only recommendation would be bedroom reading lamps are needed, as only a mains light switch and emergency torch lighting provided this year, unlike previous years. Ice box in freezer also desperately in need of defrosting as had trouble getting a few bits in due to ice build up. Would thoroughly recommend accommodation as great price, superb location and clean and very warm throughout. Many thanks!

Cottage warm and cosy. It has everything you need for a week's stay. We had a lovely time.

  • "A lovely cottage in a great location with a parking permit for a private car park nearby."

However we felt a couple of basic things were lacking - in the kitchen there was no washing up liquid, no potato peeler, no oven gloves and only one tea towel. We also didn’t realise that the cottage didn’t have a washing machine/ dryer which we feel is a necessity. A couple of side lamps in the main bedroom would be a good addition too and the downstairs shower needs to be plunged as it’s not draining very well. Despite this we had a great week, exploring the area, walking miles and even had a dip in the sea. We’ll definitely be back to visit Robin Hoods Bay again.

  • "We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Brincliffe cottage."

The cottage was clean, nicely decorated and well equipped. It’s situated in the old part of the village, amongst a maze of quaint stone cottages sloping down to the sea front. It’s a bit of a climb back up to the car park, but manageable for most.

  • "We had a fantastic stay in Robin hoods bay."

The cottage is located in a very ideal location. You get a parking pass for half way up the hill which is very helpful. It wasn’t hard to unload which I though could of been, however it wasn’t far off the road and the time we went was quiet. The cottage was very coast and I loved how spacious the lounge was. It was cosy, and comfortable to stay here. A few things that need some improvement. The kitchen facilities- there is quite a lack of kitchen utensils and dishes etc. no roasting tin or much of an option of cooking dishes. The cupboards were extremely messy. I do find this off putting. They need a good clean really and stacking neatly would be nice. There was a broker wine glass that was left in the cupboard also. A bit of a mix match of things, so I just thought this could definitely be improved on. We have stayed at many Sykes cottages, so it’s hard sometimes not to compare. I think it would be nice to have some shelves up so have more space to put things on. Also the cupboard in the corner could do to be shelved to put things in as it just seems a waste of space. The upstairs toilet sink was leaking our whole stay. Other than the few things listed, the cottage was lovely. We would stay here again yes as I said the location is perfect and it was cosy and spacious. Many thanks ☺️

  • "We regularly book with Sykes and usually more than pleased."

While the cottage was beautiful and close to the bay and amenities there were a few issues. I realise welcome pack not always provided however , 2 bathrooms without a hand wash or soap on arrival disappointing . The downstairs shower was also blocked and filled when used. We bought a plunger which cleared it a bit, but it does need attention . Would stress is lovely cottage , just these small issues which attended to would help.

It is in a great location in the old village, surrounded by other pretty cottages on a quiet lane. Was lovely to come back from a day walking and sightseeing and relax in the spacious sitting room and yet still be in the hub of the village. Everything is provided, with downstairs shower room, cloakroom and ensuite to main bedroom. Would definitely recommend a stay here and am looking at holidaying at Brincliffe cottage next year.

  • "Beautiful cottage in perfect placement for the beach and bay facilities."

Parking presents a problem, the private car park half way down the bay hill is situated conveniently but the hill bends only just accomodate a large 4x4 and any oncoming traffic can be problematical, I would suggest the top car parks for larger vehicles. The cottage itself is well laid out and has everything you would normally need with the exception of a freezer. My fault for not noticing but a bit of a problem as I had stocked up on frozen fishing bait prior to my arrival, so fishermen be warned. Would definitely recommend.
