Only drawback is uncomfortable chairs and settee. Think cushions need replacing on settee. Beds comfy. Everything else we found ok

  • "The location and decor was fantastic."

Easy walking distance (5 mins) to a shop and a few bars/restaurants. I would say rhe property is great for 2 people, maybe not 4. The 2 bucket chairs are fine for a short while but not comfortable enough for an evening. The sofa was comfy enough. The biggest annoyance to us (and another guest we spoke to) was the absence of bin liners. It wouldn't cost much to leave 4/5 in the cupboard! Luckily, I took dishwasher tabs as there were only 2. Also, for 4 people you would need more cutlery and crockery.

Thanks for feed back we will put more bags in in future and we are looking for 2 new sofas. Property Owner

  • "Absolutely fantastic property really pleased i chose this place."

It was spotless and you would never believe a dog had been there . The facilities were spot on beautiful furnishings easy parking with your own parking bay . Easy walk to seafront with a selection of shops etc cash withdrawal machine. Also facing Peasholm park beautiful. Shame the weather wasn't great but didn't spoil our stay. I need to mention that there's an iron and a hairdryer as i looked everywhere for this information but it wasn't available anywhere so i took my own . The owners of this property should be very proud of this no expensed spared apartment quality throughout. Would like to thank the owners for letting us stay at their property. Would be my go to place when back in Scarborough .

  • "The location is excellent, very good internet signal, spotlessly clean, great view from the bay window, very good kitchen with everything you need."

Very nice modern bathrooms with good hot water and shower pressure.Nice dining table and chairs in the bay window. Very good TV. Nice decor. Comfortable beds. Easy parking at the back and you can see you car from a small bedroom window. Shared laundry room on the ground floor worked perfectly. Nice landing / public areas. Only one sofa where all other apartments have 2. The 'missing' sofa has 2 very uncomfortable waiting room style bucket chairs instead, which means if you are in a group of more than 2 there is no where comfortable for everyone to sit. Small bedroom issue - This is located next to the adjoining apartment living room with the TV next to the party wall. This meant that my daughter was unable to sleep in this room as the noise from the TV comes through the wall. This was such a shame. Overall a super apartment, in a great location and spotlessly clean. Message to the owner as Sykes make contact impossible: The vacuum cleaner in the cupboard is broken at the base. The latch / lock on the door to the landing needs adjusting as it can only be opened / closed by heavily pulling / pushing against it. The front door can stick on the latch (some other guests mentioned this). It only needs a spray with WD40 to fix this.

We were able to fix after a phone call the next day. Biggest problem was other apartment owners who leave their dogs alone to bark during the day or allow them to bark when left out of bedrooms all night.

  • "We have had another wonderful holiday at Manor Heath Apartments."

we cannot wait to re book for next year ! I can’t say anything negative about this accommodation, it’s perfectly situated too. Only a few minutes walk to the beach and directly across from Peasholm Park. The apartments are absolutely beautiful, they have everything you need and the quality of furnishings are excellent. The bottle of wine was a nice touch too. There’s allocated parking at the rear of the accommodation in a private car park so no worries about having to find a spot being so near the beach etc. The shared laundry is on the ground floor, we’ve never used it and although it was being used by others there was plenty of opportunity for us to use it if we needed. The only slight niggle I had (nothing about the accommodation) was that some of the occupants left the back door into the car park unlocked at night. Meaning anyone could walk into the property. A sign in the door clearly states to ensure door is locked at all times. We always locked our apartment door even during the day but others in the apartment might not. Every night we just used to go down last thing and lock the door. We are looking forward to returning next year, hopefully back in apartment 4.

We eventually found them thanks to another family who let us in to search. We found them in the shared entrance drawer. Rang and emailed Sykes and STILL waiting for a response. Place fine. Sofa incredibly soft and chairs hard. Rest very nice. Good shower and decent beds. Pint milk and wine a nice welcome touch, when we eventually got in! Local road closure for 3 weeks.
