"Excellent accommodation and perfect place to stay in Whitby."
This place is extremely well set up for visitors from parking to all the items you have supplied including the simple items like butter and milk. Can you check the sykes direction as this took us the wrongside of the railway which was easily corrected.

"Can't fault the property."
All the essentials that are expected to make a comfortable break. Train track looks close but amount of train traffic did not affect the stay.

"When we booked we specifically said no stairs and were told there were none only to find there were 3 flights which i had difficulty decending as a result of a previous stroke."

"A little disappointed with the second bedroom that was very small."
There was no storage space or a mirror in the room. Luckily there was only one person sleeping in it but they still struggled to put their clothes somewhere. The overall property was very clean and welcoming and the welcome pack was wonderful, thank you. The trains didn’t bother us and it was wonderful to see the steam trains each day as it was half term. The heater in the larger bedroom was not secure to the wall but it worked perfectly well. The garage for parking was very welcome too as it was raining when we arrived so we kept dry while unpacking the car. I will certainly go back but maybe try a different property.

"The apartment was nicely decorated with good quality fixtures and fittings."
The facilities were also very modern, however we couldn’t get the hall radiator to work (it was quite cold during our stay). Our party consisted of just 2 adults and we found the bedrooms very small and storage space for clothing limited, it would be a very tight squeeze for a family.

"Fantastic property in a fantastic location."
Great accommodation, they've thought of everything and provided good quality crockery, cutlery, linen, appliances and other items. Undercover parking works well. Accommodation is close enough to the town & attractions to walk, but it is a quiet location away from the crowds. A handful of trains every day (none too early or too late) running literally outside the window add to the excitement for everyone.

"The property was clean and modern although the view from the kitchen/living area was a bit scruffy!"
We couldn’t find the instructions for the appliances but managed anyway (we reported this to the cleaners). There was also a tapping noise (which we couldn’t locate) that may get annoying if you were there any length of time. The location is extremely handy for the town being only 5 minutes from the harbour.
Hi, Thank you for the feedback. The tapping noise is from demolition works currently ongoing at the local NHS hospital, it is due to complete by April. We're really sorry that it was ongoing during your stay. Network Rail own the land between us and the station platform, if it was ours it would be well looked after! Property Owner

"Characterful yet modern - great place to stay!"

"The only problem we had was locking and unlocking the entrance door/shower room doors."
-
"Lovely central location and so interesting to be right beside the railway line of the North Yorkshire Steam Train fascinating."
The Engine Shed had been sympathetically converted and comfortable
-
"Great little flat in brilliant location, we had a really lovely stay."
Accommodation matched description, welcome pack was very much appreciated and we loved seeing the trains speeding by, especially the steam ones (don’t worry, they aren’t too frequent). Would have liked slightly larger / more comfortable sofas, and also a bigger bed.

"Was a lovely apartment."
Felt really safe against Covid worries, cleaning was excellent. Good to see the trains go by. Welcome pack was greatly appreciated. Only one complaint was the mattress on the bed in main bedroom was so old it had 2 big dints in it where springs or whatever had gone. Most uncomfortable nights sleep we’ve ever had, resulting in back ache every morning. Would gladly go back if We could be sure that the mattress was replaced.
-
"Unusual quirky accommodation but very high quality."
Spotless and excellently furnished with 1st class appliances. Secure covered parking perfect. Could have done with instructions for oven and microwave. Access and exit times inconvenient (too late access, too early departure and no reasonable accommodation of access times needs based on disability, even at a price). Not too sure of fire escape provision? Otherwise, would gladly stay again and recommend

"5 star all the way."
Excellent responsive owner to even minor queries. Very well fitted out with everything required. Train lovers will find a real haven here.

"The Engine Shed is a beautifully renovated railway building, from stepping in through the door we found a clean, well maintained entrance, with lovely thick carpets."
Once inside and parked up in the internal car park , we made our way down the stairs to the George Stephenson apartment. Tucked at the end of a long corridor, we found our accommodation. It was lovely to find a welcome pack and milk, eggs and bread waiting for us. The apartment was very well laid out, the kitchen and shower room modern and well laid out. The flat is a 2 minute stroll into Whitby, and having parking is a real bonus. We had a wonderful time here and we would definitely recommend it. The rooms are on the small side but as a whole it was a lovely place to stay.

"Perfect location for sightseeing, shops and dining."
Immaculate presentation and secure parking. Highly recommended.
-
"Excellent property close to town and very clean and comfortable."
Building manager Helen was very helpful, we look forward to returning very soon.

"The apartment was really nice."
The tv in the lounge area had a mind of its own and would switch itself on and off at Will to the extent that we ended up watching tv in the evening on my laptop ☹️. Also there was only one wine glass whereas there were 6-8 of every other piece of crockery and glassware. We used the cooking facilities but the large saucepan was dirty on taking it out of the cupboard. (I have a photo if you wish to see it). A floor plan of the apartment on the website would have been an advantage To working out how the property would work for a family of two adults and two children.
