  • "Great property."

Lovely location. Very clean and everything we needed.

  • "The bungalow is superior in most ways ."

The cleanliness was excellent and the equipment was good. However the seating was uncomfortable to say the least. Numb bums all round!! Sliding of the surface was not a good sign. The area is brilliant and the exploring was really good. A lightweight duvet would have been appreciated as the home was very warm at night.

  • "It was a fantastic location and a place we would wish to revisit."

Enjoyed the spacious garden and barbecue. Spectacular walks in the adjoining forests with superb flora and fauna. The weather was pleasant and the heather on the moor was vivid purple. A trip to Loch Garten is a must to see the Ospreys!

  • "Excellent cottage with good kitchen appliances and utensils."

A private and dog secure garden with seating area and summerhouse. Cottage is in a great position for lots of walks and cycles in the nearby forest straight from the door. Only problem the double bed is not so comfy and very soft pillows.

  • "Very clean and super warm (it snowed)."

Kitchen is well stocked with pans and utensils. Garden is genuinely dog proof, high fence, no gaps and great woodland walks from the door. Boat of Garden has both a pub and a good restaurant, 5 minutes walk from Skoglendi. Found the double bed a bit firm, but the twin singles are much softer.

Boat of Garten is a small village situated in the Cairngorms National Park near the River Spey. Due to its rural location, the village is a great base for those seeking to discover the impressive, rugged landscape of the region and the abundance of wildlife that resides here. Due to its close proximity to the large population of Ospreys at RSPB: Loch Garten, the village is also known as Osprey Village. In the village itself, you can find the family run 1896 Gallery, Anderson's Restaurant, a Post Office with a delicatessen, a shop with a cafe and The Boat Hotel where you spend an evening dining out in style. Enjoy fishing on the River Spey, or play a round of golf at the Boat of Garten Golf and Tennis Club, which boasts an 18-hole course designed by professional golfer and golf-course architect, James Braid. The village is a short drive from the town of Aviemore, where you can enjoy outdoor activities all year round; enjoy skiing in the winter months, or walk, climb and cycle through the summer.
