  • "We have just returned from a weeks holiday at this lovely cottage."

The cottage was amazing. The cottage was beautiful and so warm and cozy. On arrival Emma the owner of the cottage welcomed us also left a welcome gift of shortbread, tablet and macaroons. The bedrooms were were immaculate with lovely white bedding. Two spotless bathrooms and a massive kitchen with all amenities. There was also a washer dryer which was great as we were able to wash and dry all our clothes which saved having to do a large wash on returning home. Lovely open fire in living room which we used on several occasions. We actually had to turn off the central heating a couple of evenings as we were too warm. Lovely views outside the cottage and the area outside the cottage beautifully maintained. Cottage about 15 to 20 minutes from Aviemore and 30 to 40 mins from Inverness. Local pub served delicious food and staff very friendly. I highly recommend this cottage and will definitely be back.

Beds very comfortable and bedding including pillows and duvets were top quality and looked brand new. All cleaning materials including dish washer tablets were provided and there was a store of logs and sticks for the wooburner. Very warm and welcoming, can't fault it. Located just 15 minutes from A9, it was easy to get to and we easily filled a week with trips and walks around the area. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday and very good value

could not ask for more. The only comment that I have is that the drive way cobbles are a bit precarious to walk on and most of us almost twisted an ankle. Other than that the cottage was perfect as was the location.

  • "Would warmly recommend!"

We were welcomed by friendly owner Emma. She brought us an extra blanket for the toddler and a box of Duplo, which was so appreciated! Wonderfully stylish and comfortable cottage. Loved the cute wallpapers, esp. in the downstairs bedroom. Very, very clean, which was a blessing with two children and allergies. Safe garden, with gate and nowhere near any road. Only recommendation that we would make is for a slightly greater range of cooking ware. All the basics are there, really, but if you wish to release your inner Jamie Oliver you might want to bring your own mixer. :) All in all, we had a great holiday at Easter Duthil cottage! We'd love to come back one day. Location: The location is great for many different attractions in the Cairngorms, and to the West and the North. When visting with kids we recommend the Highland Folk museum in Newtonmore. For Gourmands, we recommend Rothiemurchus farm shop/butcher.

The little calves are lovely. The cottage is well equiped and clean. A fine place to come down. A nice view out of the living room window! Take a tea and sit down! The cottage is a good base to explore the cairngorms and also the nortern region. Have long tours through the highlands an come home to Easter Duthil Cottage. Thanks Emma. We'll come back again.

  • "The pictures really don't do this lovely cottage justice."

Although the cottage is on a working farm, it is set back in a secluded setting making it a relaxing and quiet base to explore the Cairngorms. Emma the owner greeted us when we arrived, which I felt gave it a personal touch and her Husband Rory always acknowledged us as we were coming and going in the car up and down the farm track. The owner had really thought about everything with the facilities available and extras like hand soaps, washing up liquid, soap powder not to mention the traditional edible scottish goodies that were a welcome treat after a long drive when we first arrived. The cottage is ideally located for accessing the A9, near to Carrbridge, Aviemore and Grantown-on-spey. We only stayed for the week, but there would have been enough in the area to keep us occupied for a couple of weeks. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend and return in the future.

  • "We have just had a lovely week staying at Easter Duthil."

The cottage is newly renovated and has been done beautifully providing a cosy and comfortable place to stay in the fantastic surroundings of the Spey Valley. It was perfect for our children (3 years and 11 months) as had been childproofed well and they could race around safely. Emma and Rory were very welcoming and even brought over extra toys to keep the kids entertained. The cottage is situated on the edge of a working farm, with only the occasional 'moo' to disturb the peace and is ideally located for the wide range of walks and activities that the highlands are so well known for. We look forward to coming back again next year!
