Quiet secluded and big garden for the dog to run around freely. Lots of walks right on your doorstep. Plenty for the grandchildren to do and explore the play park nearby. Had a great family break with the family 6 adults , 2 children and a dog. Every bedroom has en suite. All the facilities you need in a home for cooking if you wish to.Strathpeffer and Dingwall not far if you need anything.

Every detail is thought of, this property was a real home from home. We had a brilliant week over Hogmanay here and really recommend it. The hosts are really nice and friendly. You could not wish for more. Lots to do in the area or further a field. We had regular visits from red squirrels in the garden which was a lovely treat!

  • "We all really enjoyed our stay at Tigh na Drochit."

A perfect location with beautiful walks along the river right on the doorstep (what a sight the river was after Storm Babet's visit!) The property was ideal with loads of space but also really felt like home for the week, had plenty of bathrooms (bonus points!) and some nice additional features like the games room and the sauna. The owner responded quickly to any queries we had and aside from couple of light bulbs we really had everything we could need for the week. We'd all love to come back if we get the chance - a fantastic holiday!

We would highly recommend this property - there were 6 of us here aged from 4 to 74 to & we were bowled over by the size & space of the house. It quickly felt like home & we all wanted to move house & live here!! The location is absolutely stunning - the river & woodland/highland walks on your doorstep & the woodland park is out of this world and great for children. The owners were amazing too, thank you!

  • "A wonderful house in the most spectacular position at Little Garve Bridge."

The house was well equipped for catering for and accommodating 9 adults and 1 tall teenager. Only request would be for a large mixing bowl as we made pancakes for 10 and apple crumble for 10. Also there was no whisk. Small things that we worked around but would have made life easier. We were sad to leave and hope to be back someday.

Plenty of room for 2 families and 2 dogs. Loads of storage space, plenty cooking utensils etc and good to have food cupboard basics. Great to be able to walk out front door into the woods and walk along the river. Lots to see and do in surrounding area. Thank you - we will be back! Comfy beds and good en suites - would be even better if double beds could be king size for us taller people.

Very clean and tidy. Perfect location for visiting the Highlands! Lot's of local walks and trails for hiking. Also, close enough to visit both East and West Highlands by car in a day and return to the house as it has a central location. Wish we were better prepared for midges so could spend more time in the garden! Thank you Lisa and Craig.

Only one hour to the great beach at Gairlock. Smart TVs we’re great, so that we could watch Netflix and Amazon etc. We chose it as it is dog friendly and has 2 downstairs bedrooms and a downstairs bathroom, which is important to us. We will definitely want to stay again, although the price will mean that we can’t afford to go every year. A great holiday.

Quite far from anywhere to eat but can reach Ullapool and Dingwall for a bit of retail therapy or tourist sites/sights. The hardest thing was getting there. Out of 5 cars 3 went by sat nav directions and ended up on wrong side of a pedestrian only bridge. Listen to your host directions!!

The location is fantastic - the bridge right out the front door with lots of great trails for hiking. There's a fantastic playground across the bridge which helped keep the kids easily entertained. The wood stove was a great way to start each cool morning. The internet was just fast enough to have a few of the kids streaming at the same time. There's an amazing mud room with washer and dryer and the game room is another easy way to keep the family entertained. There's plenty of parking for cars and the area is very quiet at night. En suite bathrooms are terrific and spacious and the sauna was a relaxing bonus. This was such an amazing place to stay we may have to come back! We have family who live in nearby Dingwall so had an idea about the area but it more than met our expectations. The house and surrounding area is spectacular. The house is ideal for a family gathering. Each bedroom is en suite and a large communal area with well equipped kitchen and living area met our every need. In addition there are 2 more sitting areas for quiet time or playing games. The games room is an added bonus and the utility room is an ideal place to clean down muddy dogs. Ten of us had a magical Christmas in the house and each one of us was so sad to leave. The house is very well equipped and comfortable. In fact, the photographs on the website do not do it justice.
