  • "A very enjoyable stay in this clean, comfortable cottage."

Really nice to have a garden and plenty of space around the cottage. We found the cottage and the charming village of Beadnell an ideal location for visiting the the area.

  • "Our 10th stay in this lovely cottage and already booked to return later in the year."

It’s a brilliant base for a family holiday. High traffic areas very clean however would benefit from a deep clean in wider areas and of the bedding. Deep dust in bedroom lampshades, cobwebs in some areas and stains on mattress protectors and quilts (only discovered as guests have to strip the beds on departure). Giving this as constructive feedback as we know the owners have high standards.

  • "We found Lyndhurst Cottage a really comfortable place to be in."

. It had everything we could need. The beds are comfortable as is the seating in the lounge, and it is all clean and tastefully decorated.. The garden is nicely laid out with a variety of seating and it was a pleasure to see plenty of birdlife. We found it ideally placed to explore north Anglesey though with the quiet A55 dual carriageway most places are within easy reach. We will be happy to stay there again.

Great position; 3 good restaurants within easy walking distance. Great for my husband who has painful feet! Village shop described as small but it is quite large with a wide range of products. Lovely Beadnell beach 5 minute walk away.

  • "Stayed in Beadnell on several occasions and Lyndhurst cottage has been the best property that suits our family's needs."

Great indoor space where everyone can have their own space if needed and the garden with secure gates was great for eating outside and for the kids to play out without any worries. Only 2 minutes from the park, pub, 5 minutes from Beadnell beach near the local shop and 10 minutes to Beadnell Bay. Only recommendation would be an upgrade on the TV.

  • "The property and area were lovely and the description of the area was great (the pub really was 2 mins away!"

) and we would definitely return at a sunnier time of the year. The downside was the long list of things we had to do, bring our own towels, strip all the beds etc etc and quite frustratingly having to leave by 9.30 am so we didn't overlap with the cleaners, knowing the next people can't check in until 3 pm, we were only there for two nights so paid for considerably less than 48 hours. I understand the Covid precautions but there's a fine line between genuine precautions and just saving money, a pillow case costs less to wash and dry than a towel for instance. For what it's worth this is a 'qualified' opinion as we have a letting property as well, but all this is meant to be constructive criticism, you have a lovely property in a lovely area.

Thank you for comments which I have duly noted. The problem with exit and entry times is that Northumberland is so busy now that the cleaning companies have so many houses to clean and it is impossible to tie them down to exact cleaning schedules. If houses are left in a poor state it throws their schedule out. The timings are based on normal hotel access so everyone can get access at a fair time. Property Owner

  • "Ideally placed for exploring the area."

Clean, well equipped cottage and pet free. Well maintained garden with garden furniture if the weather is good enough to sit outside. Two good restaurants within walking distance of the cottage. A large car might have difficulty parking in the driveway at the side of the cottage as the entrance might be a bit tight.

  • "Lyndhurst cottage is an exceptionally good property, especially for only two people staying."

Inside it really did feel like a family home the way it was presented and furnished not like many holiday houses which tend to be utilitarian in their furnishings. The garden was also a joy in the way it was planted, not just being put down to grass. Beadnell is a quite seaside village within easy reach of the more touristy locations but far enough away to be quietly relaxing although this might change it the near future with apparent amount of house building that is currently taking place. Maybe we visited just in time!

The conservatory is a benefit and on site parking a boon. Great village to stay in for Northumbrian coastal holidaying. Close to Bamburgh, Seahouses, Lindisfarne and Farne Islands. Weather was good which made for an enjoyable time. Alnwick Castle and Gardens were lovely and a meal at the Treehouse restaurant there was the icing on the cake.

There is a very pretty garden to relax in and while we were staying there most evenings at dusk there were nightingales singing nearby which was lovely to hear. The cottage is within easy walking distance of the beach, harbour, shop and pub and only a few minutes drive from Seahouses and Bamburgh and about 12 miles from Alnwick Casfle and Gardens so it is in a very good location for visiting local attractions. We hadn't stayed at the cottage before but hope to again the future.

About the location

BEADNELL

Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.
