"Great location near beach and harbour, good bus service for Berwick."
Had to clean inside cooker before using bottom tray still had some stuff on it.could do with new suite in living room, but everything else was great.enjoyed our stay Eyemouth is a wee gem.
"We had a lovely stay."
We’re a large family (5 children & a dog) and we really appreciated the space, games, books and smart tv. The location is perfect for easy meals and walks. It really is a great family house! The only difficult part was getting organised for bong out by 9.30 (10am would have been much easier).
"Perfect location in the South East of Scotland for coastal walks, the seaside and visiting the many attractions in the area including St Abbs, Coldingham, Burnmouth, Berwick and the castles of Holy Island and Bamburgh."
Facilities were first class with all amenities required for a large family holiday. Located in a quite area of Eyemouth but close to he harbour, shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. We enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend the Bield for anyone looking for a larger house.
"Toilets really need looking into."
"Beautiful place would definitely book again thank you so much all the family had a great time"
"We loved our stay in Eyemouth at The Bield."
It was a home from home and had everything we needed, lots of space and was in the best location. Loved the sea view, felt like a proper holiday. We would love to visit again.
"We had a great stay at The Beild, what a great place very comfortable and so close to everything in Eyemouth."
Also great that it is dog friendly with plenty places to walk. We would definitely recommend this accommodation.
"We had a fantastic week here."
Couldn’t have been more central in the beautiful town of Eyemouth. The house was so spacious and tastefully decorated. The only thing that let the property down was the standard of cleaning and a few maintenance jobs needing done. Considering entry on arrival is 4.30pm and you have to be out by 9.30am on departure for the purpose of cleaning it was disappointing. We found an extra set of keys for the house (presumably previously lost) down the side of the sofa, a bottle of buckfast wine under a sofa, a kids game under another sofa. A ceiling light fitting above the bed in one of the double rooms also fell off in the middle of the night. We also had trouble with the log burner. On the 2 occasions we lit the fire smoke was escaping into the room causing the smoke alarm to go off for a lengthy period of time - even the lovely neighbours came to check we were ok! A little TLC could really make this house first class. Although the points mentioned were a little disappointing I wouldn’t say I’d never go back!
"Fantastic holiday home has everything you need."
Eyemouth has everything you need for local amenities, berwick 10 mins drive for supermarket and more would highly recommend your stay at this property
"Such a lovely property, in a great location… everything you possibly need in the property and outside the property with pubs, harbour, takeaways and shops all within a minutes walk if not less."
A bottle of wine and cookies provided on arrival which was a lovely touch, as well as personal contact with the owner over email. Huge spacious property even if 8 of you are there, every room is huge. The only downside for feedback would be the attic bedrooms that don’t have blinds or curtains covering the windows, but apart from that this property is faultless… Would love to stay again.
