  • Mr Locke

“We had a lovely week long stay after having not seen other family members for up to 18 months.”

The great facilities and local amenities meant that we could relax indoors and out. The fact that the whole week was a heatwave was an added bonus.

Take some time to discover the extensive accommodation on the ground floor of this family holiday cottage near Market Drayton.

A commercial catering kitchen provides all the equipment that even the most experienced chef will need, whilst a dining table that is large enough to seat all twenty guests provides the perfect spot for that important family celebration - the festivities will last late into the evening.

Two large sitting rooms provide all the comfort that you would expect, so light one of the woodburning stoves and relax as you catch up on the day’s adventures; or partake in a game of pool, and remember, the winner stays on!

On sunny days, head with a refreshing drink to the magnificent garden room which overlooks the grounds, but do be aware that at chillier times of the year, you will need to put on a jumper.

If sitting and doing nothing is not your idea of fun, then have no worries as this extensive Manor House has something for everyone.

The fabulous indoor heated swimming pool might be a wonderful place to relax, but flick a switch and this becomes an endless pool where children can safely play, or you can swim against the current and enjoy a really good workout.

After drying off from the pool, pop outside and make the most of the superb 7-seater hot tub, situated overlooking the roses in one corner of the lawned grounds.

Kids will love the Wendy House and the outdoor play area, which is conveniently located behind some bushes, leaving the grown-ups to enjoy the rest of the gardens as you sip a pre-dinner drink and plan the following day’s activities.

Shropshire is a wonderful county to spend a holiday.

Several country lane walks are near by, plus Market Drayton boasts a good selection of shops and bars, and is close to the Shropshire Union Canal.
