"A lovely cottage in a great area."
We had everything we needed. It was very easy to get to lots of great locations nearby for walking, sightseeing and shopping. The resident peacock was a welcome visitor . A really good base to enjoy the beautiful Peak District .

"When I arrived Sue let me in showed me where the thermostat was by the time I'd put my bag down she'd disappeared I saw Phil a few times but he never acknowledged me at all so much for the hospitality some reviews have mentioned, I was on my own as the person I was going with let me down at the last moment and I had no transport so I had to rely on taxis and as I'm in my seventies I would have appreciated it if they had checked in to see if I was okay."
-
"Beautiful cottage, very clean, all necessary facilities, well equipped."
We would have preferred to have known before hand that it was located on a busy main road, as this made it a little precarious to cross and we would have preferred a quieter setting. However the actual property was fantastic
-
"Lovely little cottage in a central rural location, great base for exploring."
Kitchen getting ready for a revamp in places but more than adequate. Thank you for a lovely peaceful break x
-
"Once again thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
-
"We had another wonderful stay it’s a pity the weather didn’t play ball but it was always good to return to the cottage as it was the perfect base to explore the Peak District can’t recommend the cottage enough 5 ⭐️ warm cleanliness facilities."
We’ll be back!!!
-
"We have just returned from our 3rd visit and yet again we have enjoyed our mini break away."
Everything was once again to our liking and the complimentary milk and chocolate biscuits always a bonus.
-
"A really lovely cottage."
Well equipped, warm and very comfortable. In a great position for walking the dales. The web site doesn’t do it justice, as there are no pictures of the beautiful up dated bathroom, or details of the excellent Wi-Fi. Could do with a new set of matching cutlery, and cooking knives need a good sharpen, minor issues really. Loved meeting the peacock who stood at our back door each morning and evening.
-
"Very comfortable cottage, nice and warm to return to after a days walking."
Very comfortable bed. Thank you

"Booked a two night weekend stay at No 3, we stayed as a party of four adults for weekend visit to Chatworth House Christmas."
No 3 didn’t disappoint from the moment we arrived the lovely lady greeted us gave us information what we needed and left us to it, the barn cottage conversion was very spacious with two large bedrooms, the beds was very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with all your kitchen needs, the lounge had two settees and TV, the bathroom was very nice with a massive shower and very modern. All in all No 3 is a perfect base and will definitely be returning again when in Derbyshire again.
-
"Beautiful cottage , very clean , heating was fantastic, WIFI was very good, lovely updated bathroom, we would go again, lovely holiday."
-
"The accomodation was exceptionally spacious, well equipped and very comfortable."
Situated in the centre of Derbyshire and close to all amenities. Your website details for this property need updating to include the superb walk-in shower and wi-fi which makes it even more attractive.
-
"Nice barn conversion in the courtyard of the owners farm."
Everything you need for a week away was provided in the property, really comfy beds and quiet due to the thick stone walls. There are chickens, donkeys, sheep and a pheasant on the farm and regular tractor movements too. Good road links to the main attractions and walking areas.
-
"We have enjoyed a lovely week in Derbyshire and the cottage was very comfortable for a family of 4."
The animals kept the kids entertained, wifi and the upgraded bathroom was a welcome surprise! The location of the cottage is excellent for exploring Derbyshire and we made the most of the fantastic weather. Would definitely return!
-
"Cottage had everything and more ."
Little extras, that you dont normally get . Towels, tea coffee milk biscuits . Comfy big beds . Didnt worry us that there were no bedroom doors. Still had privacy when in bed . Loved the walk in shower . Wi. Fi was handy . Definitely recommend. Good position for trips out
-
"The owner was really friendly, and the house very comfortable, with all the facilities you'd want."
Other reviews mention the peacock, but this was the only negative for us as it started screeching each morning at sunrise, so no relaxing long sleeps (and it doesn't even belong to this farm). Some of the photos of the house are out of date, the sofas are now nice black leather and the bath and shower cabinet have gone, replaced by a much nicer big walk-in shower.
-
"No 3 was easy access to all areas of peak district just a short drive to some wonderful areas loved the peacock"
-
"Great place to stay, owner nice, helpful and friendly."
-
"Lovely cosy clean cottage with visiting chickens and a peacock."
Great value for money would definitely recommend
-
"Hosts Phil and Sue Bradbury were extremely helpful to us when we arrived quite late due to heavy traffic on the motorways(M5&M42)."
Nothing was too much trouble!Would like to go back as soon as possible.
-
"Such open bright holiday home with all facilities needed."
Local walk along disused railway and beautiful places to visit nearby. Welcoming hosts. Sorry we could not say bye as they were out when we left
-

Well equipped, spacious and also cosy. Good location for walking, cycling and local pubs. Thank you for the milk and biscuits on arrival!
-
"We had an absolutely fantastic 4 days ,host very welcoming some goodies to treat you as you arrive, the cottage itself is beautifully designed and set out we enjoyed our weekend of pj’s and box sets ."
Highly recommend if you want to get away from technology and chill out . Pub up the road awesome food and ales we did have to sample the wares and loved the cheese shop in Hartington.
-

"I found the whole process from booking, paying the balance, information regarding the property and location were excellent."
-
"An excellent barn conversion giving very warm comfortable facilities."
The cottage was in a good location for exploring the Peak district especially Dovedale and the Tissington Trail . Thank you for a warm welcome and the pack consisting of tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits
-
"Friendly owner who was welcoming."
The cottage was very lovely, very clean and comfortable. Will be booking again soon.
-
"Excellent location."
Friendly welcome. Well equipped and comfortable property. Would benefit from WiFi for searching for information on places to visit etc. as mobile signal variable. Tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits on arrival a welcome surprise. Would love to return sometime for another visit.
-
"A lovely, comfortable and well equipped property."
On the main road from Buxton to Ashbourne but road noise not a problem. You can walk out from the property, ( a short distance on the road at first) onto the Tissington and High Peak Trails, but you really need a car to access the many interesting trails and places around as there is no public transport nearby.
-
"What a lovely cottage."
It has everything you could want, including tea, coffee, sugar, washing up liquid, dish washer tabs, soap etc which some cottages dont supply. It was quiet and comfortable and a great location to explore the Peaks. The only slight issue was there's no doors to the bedrooms, so if you have a snorer in your party everyone can hear
-
"We are 4 friends who get together when we can."
It was fantastic to find acomadation with single beds. We all enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to friends and family.
-
"A very well equipped, clean cottage, in a good location to explore the peak district."
Very friendly owners and we very much appreciated the milk/coffee/biscuits provided on arrival. We enjoyed the weekend there, in particular the walk/cycling along the Tissington/High peak trails. We will come back again for sure. Anything not so perfect? If I were really picky, I would say the toilet could be separated from the bath room/or having another toilet, and may be not on the main road.
-
"Perfect cottage in Derbyshire!"
Great location, perfect for walking and cycling too.
-
"Are weekend was realy nice the cottage was lovely people were great all in all a good little break"
-
"The cottage was really homey, warm and well laid out."
It fulfilled our needs perfectly and had everything that we wanted. The pictures online did not do it justice, it’s absolutely beautiful and very unique! The only thing I could fault was the water pressure in the shower. It was ok but not brilliant.
-
"Such a beautiful little cottage in a picturesque location."
The owners were lovely, so helpful and had left basic essentials in the cottage which was helpful and thoughtful. Would definitely recommend or visit again.
-
"The cottage was lovely and very well equipped."
Our only feedback is that the sofas are a little small for 4 people to relax comfortably - perhaps an arm chair in the lounge could be helpful.
-
"The photos do not do the place justice, yes it is in the middle of no where, well it feels that way even though your off the main a road between Buxton and Ashbourne."
Once you close the curtains its soo cozy. We could have stayed for longer
-
"Cosy, comfortable and well positioned cottage to explore all the delights of the Peak District."
-
"Property is ideally located for many attractions which are within easy reach and despite being located close to the main road, traffic noise was minimal."
The property is well appointed and spacious and includes a garden area with a rotary drier to the rear. The lack of WiFi and/or phone signal, depending on your provider, might put some people off but we enjoyed being away from the phone.
-
"The cottage was nice and spacious and the location good for us."
-
"The whole house was beautiful, very clean and well kept."
In a lovely setting, and easy to find and access. Welcoming hosts and comfortable beds! What more can you ask for?!
-
"Phoned to say we would be early very pleased that we could arrive early with ..."
Phoned to say we would be early very pleased that we could arrive early with milk and biscuits waiting for us on opening the door we noticed an awful smell which happened every time we left and returned it smelt like a drain the settees in the lounge could do with being changed felt like sitting on a board
-
