"Second visit, we never revisit the same place but this cottage is so warm cosy and welcoming it can’t be bettered or the location."
-
"A lovely spacious cottage with large lawned area to the rear."
There is a small caravan site behind so expect some traffic movement across the front of the property.

"Limers Cottage ticks all the right boxes!"
Warm and cosy, great location with short drive to Bakewell and Buxton and other attractions, extremely well-equipped kitchen and helpful owners nearby. Recommended pub for real ales and excellent food is the Bulls Head in Monyash and lunchtime cafes worth seeking out are the Honey Bun in Bakewell, the Hartington Farm Shop and the Peveril Tearooms in Castletown

"Lovely, clean and well-equipped and well-provisioned cottage."
Happy to return for another stay or to recommend to friends.

"We enjoyed our stay - and would come again."
In fact based on my description, a relative has booked for later in the year. The house is as described, is comfortable and clean and everything works. It is on a working farm amongst farms so animal noise to be expected. Sue (owner) was helpful. Onsite parking well defined & easy. Flagg is between Buxton & Bakewell. Lots of good walking and (the clue is in the name 'Peak District') cycling - on safe local roads (national trails). Monsal Trail is family friendly & virtually flat. If cycling avoid the A6. Local pubs have standard pub fare and are fine. Baslow has more restaurants. Buxton & Bakewell are both near with other cafes and restaurants .... we preferred Buxton with its Crescent, Opera House and park complete with bandstand to visit. Chatsworth (book online as not always open - huge treasure house need a couple if days), Haddon & Hardwick Halls are close.

"Mention that if you leave the door to the garden open the chickens may invade"
-
"A beautiful stone cottage that was comfortable and well stocked."
A great location for visiting Chatsworth, Lime Park and Haddon Hall. We loved it and would highly recommend it.
-
"Fabulous cottage, so cozy total control of heating you can be as warm as you like just by turning up the thermostat on the radiators, and a shout out to Billy who helped us retrieve a basket we left behind, many thanks."
-
"Property set in a lovely location beautiful scenery."
The shower could have been cleaner. Where the water goes was all black. Also the oven could have done with a good clean.
-
"The cottage was wonderful and it’s location was perfect to explore the Peak District."
-

Well equipped and very comfortable. The location was nice and central for touring the Peaks whilst being quiet and set in beautiful countryside.
-
"Loved the maps and instructions on the nearby walks and activities."
Nice to be next to the farm yet still so tranquil and quiet. Every convenience had been thought of. Thank you
-
"Such a lovely cottage, very comfortable and well equipped."
Sue our host was so welcoming and helpful. We couldn't have wished for a nicer place which was ideally located for exploring the surrounding Peak District.
-
"What a find."
Absolutely perfect for our week of walking. Every home comfort had been provided. So peaceful and private. The only sound was from the cows being milked and an owl at night. Would definitely stay again.
-

Would happily book again.

"We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Limers Cottage."
Friendly owners who presented us with an extremely clean and comfortable cottage. The welcome pack was much appreciated. Beautiful garden which the children loved exploring and we enjoyed relaxing in. Limers is in a perfect location with all of our planned days out within a 15-30 minute drive - Chatsworth, Dovedale, Mam Tor, Speedwell Cavern, the Buxton racetrack and cycling the Monsal trail.
-
"A very clean and comfortable cottage."
We found it a good, centrally located, base for visiting many of the areas of interest in the local area. On our arrival we were pleasantly surprised to find provisions, for our immediate needs, had been provided. The cottage comes with WIFI which is particularly important as the mobile phone signal in the area is very patchy at best. The garden, the children loved as it had a swing, a Wendy house and a selection of outside toys as well as being a great place for them to explore.
-
"What a wonderful cottage."
Everything you need. Lovely garden, we enjoyed the tyre swing. Beds very comfortable. Very good location for exploring the Peak District. The family who own the cottage were very friendly and helpful. Thank you and we look forward to staying again.

"Exceptionally well equipped cottage with everything you might require during your stay."
Good very quiet location with lots of interesting places within easy reach. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our week stay in the cottage.
-
"Such a lovely cottage."
Dual aspect windows in almost every room provided a strong connection to the surrounding countryside. The cottage was really comfortable and well equipped. Lots of walks on the doorstep too. We had a lovely time, and would definitely return.
-
"Beautiful cottage set at the heart of a working farm, with all the facilities you could want, including Internet TV and a fast Internet connection for streaming films etc."
The host even provided space to store our bikes in a locked shed next to the cottage. Great place to explore the Peak District based at the centre of the National Park with everything less than half an hour away!
-
"This cottage was probably the best equipped one that we have ever stayed in."
The owner, Sue, was so kind, left such a generous welcome pack, fresh flowers, and lent us maps, and even black cotton thread to mend my rucksack strap ! The cottage was warm, comfortable, and a real joy to stay there. Everything you could possibly want.
-
"Beautiful cottage in a quiet village and within easy reach of local attractions."
The Cottage had everything we needed and was well laid out. We will return.
-
"This property is a real gem."
And in convenient reach of some lovely Dale walking. Thoughtfully furnished for the comfort and convenience of the guests, warm and cosy. We could see why it was so highly rated by others before us. We would love the opportunity of returning to it on another occasion.
-
"Fantastic stay in a beautiful cottage, the cottage itself is finished to a very high standard and is very comfortable for a family break."
The location was great for us with walks from the door, the owner came out to greet us on arrival which was great as she made us feel very welcome. On entering the cottage there were fresh flowers and a lovely welcome pack, we thought this was a very nice touch. If people are new to the area there were only a few leaflets regarding local information, it would have been great if there were more giving local walks or places of interest nearby to visit. The only other point is the wiring hanging out of the walls where the extractor fans are to be fitted, this does look a bit untidy and would benefit from being completed.
-
"A lovely cottage in a beautiful part of the world."
We enjoyed our stay and would readily return.
-
"We stayed with our 4 and 6 year olds and the property was really lovely."
We absolutely loved it! It was very well equipped with all the extra things like toilet rolls, dishwasher & laundry tablets etc, and there were also lots of towels. The biscuits, bread, milk and coffee were a very generous and welcoming touch. The cottage was super clean, very nicely decorated and had plenty of storage.
-
"Lovely cottage."
Great hosts and location. Close to Tissington, High Peak and Monsal Trails for walks and cycling.
-
"Very comfortable cottage in great location for walking."
Pleasant, helpful host.
-
"The family that own the cottage were extremely friendly and helpful."
We all enjoyed being shown around their farm and seeing all of the animals.
-
"The most lovely cottage with everything we needed for the perfect stay."
-
"Clean, comfortable, spacious cottage, with outdoor seating area located close to Bakewell, National Trust properties, Chatsworth and walks in surrounding area."
Bread, milk, margarine and biscuits provided. Very enjoyable stay.
-
"The cottage was everything we needed, they have thought of everything that you could possibly need."
The garden was just perfect for my 2 girls. The tyre swing went down a treat! If your looking for a quiet, relaxing base to visit the beautiful Derbyshire Dale's then look no further.
-
"Lovely week at the cottage."
Facilities are good. The beds were comfortable and good quality towels and bedding provided. The fridge/freezer has a decent freezer section so handy for the shopping delivery we ordered and reduced time going shopping for more supplies. Milk, butter, bread and a few other basics, including toilet roll and soap were there on our arrival also, which we appreciated. We found the location very good for days out and most popular places to visit were generally within a short driving distance. We would highly recommend and it is one of the best self catering accommodation we’ve stayed in. We’d be happy to return in the future and stay again.
-
"Beautiful cottage with a lovely large garden."
Very well equipped, even had toys for the little ones! We had a lovely stay here and would definitely book again.
-
"Lovely cottage - everything you need for a relaxing week."
There is currently a Dolce Gusto coffee maker so bring some pods if you like a Dolce Gusto drink. There is now a log burner installed.
-
"Lovey cottage, perfect for a family/friends getaway."
There was just the two of us but perfect location and great facilities. Little touches such as wine, bread, milk and eggs made it. Would have been lovely too if the weather was nicer to sit the garden instead we made the most of the log burner!

"As this was a last minute booking, we were just pleased to be able to get away and our level of expectation was not that high - what can we say - the cottage is lovely, very homely and the welcome pack is a nice added bonus - the bread was out of this world and we had to stop ourselves eating it, before our evening meal Sue was lovely and popped over to say hello - what a lovely lady - nothing was too much trouble and her smile is so invitingc- it was apparent that nothing would be too much trouble This cottage is well located and has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday - the wood burner was a real treat on the evenings when it was a little cooler and added a lovely cosy feel to the sitting room, which was also well laid out and very comfortable."
The whole week was amazing, as we knew the area but had not visited for a number of years, as we recalled many happy memories and the icing on the cake was that we knew we would return to a lovely cosy cottage Thank you Sue

"We had a wonderful holiday and would thoroughly recommend to others."
A great space with the added entertainment of some animals.

"No fire as advertised, main reason we booked this cottage."
We were only made aware the week before our visit. We took with us a selection of DVD films to watch on an evening. There was also a selection of DVDs at the cottage but no DVD player. We had to buy films off the Amazon chanel. There is a large wall unit in main bedroom, as it sticks out so far from the wall you have to duck to get into bed, needless to say if I got up during the night I kept hitting my head on it! It is a lovely cottage, well situated for all activities and not far from main roads. I would recommend slipper socks as the tiled flooring is cold even when heating is on. The little welcome bits provided we're greatly appreciated. My daughter now loves white Stilton.
-
"A lovely cottage."
Nice clean and very comfortable. Nice big enclosed garden just wish the weather had been better so we could have made use of it. The TV had Netflix and I logged onto Amazon prime too. Loved the goodies we were left..yummy. Thank you. It does not have a woodburner as given in the listing but it has a very good central heating system. Very easy to find good directions given.
-
"The cottage was absolutely ideal."
We couldn't have asked for a better site - the garden was even better than expected and the site was in a beautiful rural village. The cottage itself was warm, well heated and had all the amenities we'd been promised and was dressed well. The welcome pack, with local produce, was well received and neatly thought out. We were ideally situated to visit Bakewell, Chatsworth House, Dovedale, Mam Tor and other Peak District highlights. Would definitely recommend.

"Lovely little cottage in a beautiful part of the world."
Had everything we needed . The girls loved playing in the Wendy house .
-
"Lovely cottage that exceeded our expectations."
Host Sue was very welcoming and the children loved being next to the farm and seeing the animals. The cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed to enjoy the holiday. Perfectly located with access to Bakewell and Buxton within 15 minutes. So much beautiful countryside to explore. We'll definitely be back.
