The property

Settled on an old farm in Middleton near Youlgreave, Derbyshire is this delightful, detached house of The Farmhouse.

A Grade II listed building boasting original features throughout, whilst sitting in a courtyard of a non-working farm in the Peak District National Park, The Farmhouse is the perfect getaway for a large group or family of 18.

After parking in one of the ample off-road spaces and taking in your marvellous surroundings, venture inside to a charming sitting room; where a toasty electric woodburning stove for you and your loved ones to cosy up around, as you watch a movie on the TV.

Another sitting area can be found in the nearby conservatory, where you can really relish those countryside views as you sink back into the plush seating.

Continue through the delightful property to find a country kitchen/diner hosting all you need to whip up delectable meals, from an AGA range to a dishwasher.

Dinner can be savoured at the kitchen's small table, or as a grander affair in the dining room, where two tables seating all the family awaits as well as a crackling open fire.

As the day comes to an end, you can find two inviting ground floor king-size rooms, with one featuring a four-poster bed; both bedrooms enjoy access to a nearby shower room, where you can enjoy a refreshing shower as you wash off a day packed with walking.

Upstairs is home to five more thoughtfully laid-out bedrooms, all styled differently to give each space a personality, with two of the rooms being king-sizes sporting canopy beds, another being a delightful twin, as well as a family room with a king-size and two singles, and lastly, a family room with a king-size and a single bed featuring a pull-out bed.

The first floor also hosts two handy shower rooms, so those resting upstairs won't have to travel far to freshen up for a day packed with activities! The garden is a stunning spot, with far-reaching views of the surrounding Derbyshire countryside; the hot tub rests on the patio and is a wonderful relaxation spot, where you can soak the day away.

Travel a short distance north to find the friendly village of Youlgreave, home to three pubs including the friendly Bulls Head Hotel and a post office that hosts a village store; there's no need to travel far for your self-catering needs.

The farm is also within easy reach of fantastic sights to see, which can be found on walks along the weaving trails surrounding the property, these include: the renowned Cratcliffe, Cork Stone, Lathkill Dale and Arbor Low Stone Circle.

A little further afield you can find the market town of Bakewell, where you can learn of the local area at the Bakewell Visitor Centre, marvel the views from Bakewell Bridge, and tour the fascinating Old House heritage museum.

The Park District National Park is home to so many more places and delights to discover, so be sure to make the most of it; you can make a start by visiting the nearby Chatsworth House or the town of Matlock for some fantastic days out.
