  • "FAB U LOUS Oh so stylish apartment."

    Everything top quality from kitchen equipment to furniture and furnishings, a delight to stay there. Brilliantly equipped kitchen, we were quite happy to stay in and cook. About a 10/15 minute walk down and through the lovely gardens into the centre of Buxton where you will find loads of lovely restaurants ,cafes and shops. The surrounding area is absolutely stunning. We walked every day enjoying fabulous scenery in all directions around Buxton. There are quite a few steps up to the top floor, so not so good if you find stairs difficult. For us a brilliant holiday, from the apartment to the scenery. We will be back!!!

  • "The penthouse suite was perfect for us."

    It was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The location being close to the centre of town and central to the Peak District, ticked all the boxes, as did the off street parking. All this in a quiet tree lined street .... highly recommended.

The property

Set on a sleepy lane within the heart of Buxton town, is this gorgeous third-floor dwelling, Treetops.

Decorated throughout with neutral hues and stylish interiors, this fabulous apartment presents a sophisticated base from which to discover the true delights of the Peak District.

Cook up a storm in the contemporary white gloss kitchen with the help of well-designed electrical appliances that lie within, before joining friends at the pretty dining table and indulging in a hearty home-cooked meal as you sip on a tasty glass of wine.

Retire to the warm and restful sitting room, where you can lounge on the spacious corner sofa or curl up in the inviting armchair as you discuss upcoming plans and watch movies on the impressive Smart TV.

Make your way into the centre of Buxton and enjoy tours of The Pump House Room and Buxton Heritage Experience, the Buxton Museum and Art Gallery, and the 18th century Devonshire Dome, all before grabbing lunch at one of the well-established cafés and restaurants that fill the town.

Take a walk through the manicured lawns of The Pavilion Gardens, or explore the underground caves of Poole's Cavern that sit proudly within Buxton Country Park.

Catch the train to Matlock and delight in a trip on the Heights of Abraham or spend the day at the popular theme park of Gulliver's Kingdom.

Head to Bakewell for some delicious treats and cross the scenic Bakewell Bridge over the River Wye and embark on a breath-taking stroll through the open fields of the Deep Dale Nature Reserve.

There's fun to be had as you hike through wolfscote dale and along the Peak Hidden Trails, before returning to Buxton for a quick pint down with the locals.

About the location


Tideswell 7 miles; Bakewell 12 miles; Matlock 21 miles.

It was the constant 28 degrees centigrade of the bubbling blue waters of Buxton's eight thermal springs that originally attracted the Romans to the town. However it was during the 18th and 19th centuries, under the patronage of successive Dukes of Devonshire, that the Palladian splendour of the Buxton of today was designed and built - including the magnificent semi-circular Crescent, The Great Stable, Hall Bank, The Square, The Pavilion Gardens and The Opera House. Today visitors continue to enjoy these magnificent buildings and gardens, as well as the Opera House's full programme and annual festivals of music and arts. There is good walking close by with rugged peaks to the north and gentle hills and dales to the south and a number of pretty towns and villages are dotted throughout including Bakewell, Ashford-in-the-Water, Castleton and Edale. The stunning properties of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are within easy driving distance and must be seen while visiting this area. A great base for exploring the Peak District.
