"Lovely property well situated for Anstruther town and all the sites and facilities."
Everything you could possibly need in the house and the view from the upstairs kitchen and lounge were lovely. The house was always warm and cosy and the hot water plentiful. Incredible amount of light switches to try to fathom! Two issues on cleanliness: fork and knife covered with green mould found in the dishwasher, and more instructions on oven needed - had to google to find out that the time has to be set in order for the grill and oven to heat up. One issue on facilities and maintenance: seems to be an old Volvo right outside property in car park which obviously had not moved for a long while - flat tyres, SORN’d and MOT expired. Glad we were not sitting out on decking with a G&T enjoying a summers evening looking at that.
"The cottage is perfectly positioned for access to the harbour, shops, cafes, restaurants, dog walks etc."
The off road parking was really useful too. We were there during storm Babet but were very sheltered, although still able to watch the waves crashing over the harbour walls! The cottage was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with a good range of kitchen appliances, crockery etc. If a king-sized bed could be squeezed in, in place of the double bed, that would be even more comfortable! We had a great week and will definitely visit again.
"The cottage was wonderfully equipped, but, needs a little attention."
For example the Bosch oven does not work because it leaks to earth. Likewise the jacuzzi. Neither was a problem to us as we mainly ate out. The owner needs to visit. Overall a great stay!
Fully equipped with all you need for a very comfortable stay. Very dog friendly area, close to local pubs, hotels and independent shops. Ideal for exploring the East Neuk of Fife and the walking the Coastal Path

The only problem I had was it was really warm week I was there and wasn't enough windows that opened everything else was perfect
"The cottage is in a great location, being able to see the sea was lovely when sat eating a meal or relaxing in the evening."
It was lovely and spacious and a great base to tour the beautiful Fife coast. It was great for the dog lots of dog friendly places to walk and go. A couple of tiny minor things with the cottage, which I'm sure will be simple to rectify. It was an otherwise perfect week away.
Great location. Really nicely finished property. Very happy to return. Would be nice if, like other places we’ve regularly stayed, welcome pack had maybe milk or a cake as a friendly touch!
"Such a lovely cottage with fantastic views."
The furnishings and fittings are very high spec, and the cottage was really clean and well maintained. A lot of thought has clearly gone into the colour schemes. It felt like a home from home as soon as we walked in the door, and we'd love to return in the future.
"Cottage was beautiful, clean and well maintained, just a few minutes from sea front, harbour and shops, had everything we needed, the jacuzzi bath was to die for and used daily, mum n dad loved the walk in shower as they are elderly and was so easy for them."
Highly recommended, would definitely book again, we had amazing weather and the beach at Elie just down coast about 10 mins in car was fantastic for families, children and pups, thank you to Mel and Stuart who brilliantly sorted out a couple of little hiccups we had. The welcome pack was lovely and much appreciated.
"Relaxing break, well equipped and great location."
Once we figured out how the oven worked it went well. Did have a tendency to trip until we realised how it worked.
"First class accommodation and well located as everything on your doorstep, pubs, restaurants, shops and near to the coastal path."
We had a wonderful week.
"Stunning cottage with sea views from upstairs living room."
Beautifully decorated & great facilities. Would highly recommend this property in a great location.
"Great location and lovely accommodation!"
We had a great holiday and lovely weather for time of year. The courtyard setting is nice and sheltered with your own parking space. It is well equipped and comfortable with views of the sea over the rooftops. Unfortunately we couldn’t manage to get in the bath as I’m a bit wobbly and didn’t feel safe when trying to climb in, we would have preferred an ordinary bath! This aside, everything else was just right and great value for money
"Absolutely beautiful property, very tastefully done in lovely quiet courtyard, very thoughtful owners, lovely little touches, wonderful view, really handy for buses, all town amenities and coastal path too."
Lots to see and do. Would love to stay again. Perfect holiday home, having a bathroom on each level was great too. Have to mention the superb quality of the towels, super impressed, a delight to use. Couldn't ask for anything more. Thank you for a fabulous holiday in your beautiful house, we didn't want to come home. Fantastic value for money, would highly recommend.
"Lovely property, warm and comfortable."
Had everything you could possibly need or want. Great central location and having a designated parking space was a definite plus in such a busy place. Would love to return.

Lovely apartment in a great location, had everything required for a short or long stay and we would definitely book again - Regards, Dave & Audrey
"The house is spotlessly clean and well equipped, it was lovely."
The front door is gated so my dogs didn’t run out into the courtyard, which was very handy. There is a terraced area at the front of the house, it is for your use, but it is not enclosed or private, so be careful if you have dogs or young children as the opening to the courtyard opens on to a main road. A great base for exploring the surrounding area or for a quiet relaxing time.
"Lovely property just minutes walk from harbours, beach, shops and restaurants."
Our dogs loved their walks on nearby grass area and sandy beach. Beautiful sea views from upstairs lounge and kitchen. Very efficient heating when needed. A downstairs shower would have been preferable to the bath but realise that space was limited….a minor gripe! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Anstruther & surrounding area…great property….Thankyou.
"The property was good."
Our critisms would have to be the wooden stairs which were narrow and not carpeted. My wife who is disabled had a great deal of difficulty negotiating them. Had we realised there was no bedroom on the first floor we would not have booked the house, Saying all that the house was lovely and clean and under different circumstances we would book again. Sorry to be so negative
"Excellent property, superb location and very well equipped, highly recommended"
"A lovely property, looks great and very nicely finished inside."
Lovely views across the Forth from the Kitchen-Diner and Lounge. And a very short walk to the harbour front and shops.
"Excellent holiday rental very close to the heart of Anstruther."
Clean, well equipped with everything we needed. Great views across the Forth from the upper floor. There is more to Anstruther than we remembered and there are plenty of bars, restaurants and takeaways within an easy walk. The property is ideally situated to explore the Fife coast and spend time in St Andrews.
"Great holiday home well equipped with great attention to detail and lovely decor, plunge jacuzzi bath was such a bonus and appreciated after my running in the gorgeous stunning countryside."
Lovely location, the private courtyard was nice to sit in & the stunning views over the rooftops to the sea & beyond we’re awesome…..we will return for sure in the future. Loved the secure gated bit at the front door to keep the dog safe and to let outdoor shoes dry off etc. The park area is very close by for a quick dog walk if required.

About the location
St Andrews 10 miles; Cupar 16 miles; Edinburgh 50 miles.
Anstruther is the principal village on Fife’s East Neuk Coast and was formerly two distinct burghs, Anstruther West and East. The two parts of the village are divided by the Dreel Burn. Anstruther was originally founded as a fishing village and played a major role in the Scottish herring industry. The history is well documented in the Scottish Fisheries Museum sitting alongside the attractive and busy harbour. Now popular with tourists, Anstruther offers many cafes, bars, galleries and restaurants including the award-winning Anstruther Fish Bar, and tourists sit around the harbour enjoying their traditional fish and chips. The harbour is now home to the many pleasure craft offering trips along the coast or to the Isle of May in the Firth of Forth to view the puffin and seal colonies. Across the Forth is Edinburgh and this is easily accessed by car or public transport for an exciting day out. Another popular attraction is the Secret Bunker, a former Cold War nuclear bunker now open to the public. With beautiful coastal walks, the proximity of many golf courses, including St Andrews, Anstruther has so much to offer the visitor.
