  • "This is what we call a ‘just add clothes’ holiday because every little detail has been so thoughtfully planned by the owners that you really don’t need to worry about anything!"

The location of the cottage is perfect for exploring near and far, with so much to do you will undoubtedly need to book to stay here again. A plethora of shops, restaurants and takeaways are all within walking distance. Even the best holiday cottages you stay at usually have a compromise of some description but we really didn’t find one here. Perfect for us and our dog, we loved every minute of our stay here.

Hi Avril Many thanks for taking the time to provide your fantastic feedback - this really makes all the efforts worthwhile. We're both so chuffed to hear that you had a great time and hope to be able to welcome you back again soon. Regards, D & J Property Owner

It's appears to be a traditional cottage in a traditional street, snug, cosy and inviting. Once inside, you discover it's a modern and stylish home packed with lots of features. Underfloor heating, contemporary decor, comfortable carpeting upstairs. Upstairs, the bathroom was very clean and bright. The downstairs WC at the back of the house was very convenient for the enclosed garden and the hot tub. There's a large comfortable bedroom upstairs with plenty of storage space. Pet friendly, but not a whiff of dog. Clean, tidy, well ordered, freshly decorated and in a great area for exploring, dining out and dining in, Feus Cottage is a lovely place to retreat to and relax in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Onto the property itself, well, it was outstanding, a beautiful cosy house on the high street itself of the town, but just far enough down the high street to be out of the busiest part which helped regarding parking the car. The house was extremely clean and well furnished throughout with everything you would need, making it feel like a home from home. The added bonus was the excellent hot tub which we were in every day of the holiday, helped of course by a wonderful week of weather. Bedroom was large and comfortable with more than adequate wardrobe space. Garden area at the back was enclosed and great for releasing the dog to run free. In respect of pubs/eateries these are right on the doorstep, in fact you will be spoilt for choice. Plenty of walks around and in the town itself and only a stones throw from the wonderful Gleneagles Golf Course Had a fantastic time and we certainly intend to return

  • "⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We would highly recommend this lovely cottage."

Exquisitely furnished and presented. David provided us with details of the local area, eateries, shopping and activities, via email, prior to our arrival. The information folder, in the cottage had leaflets and maps to help you plan your stay. Detailed instructions on all the appliances. Coffee maker, tv, washer/dryer, dish washer, etc. There was a welcome pack, with all the essentials, the shower room had beautiful toiletries supplied. A dog bowl and treats made our 4-legged friend feel welcome too. A text message from David before we arrived, told us the cottage was ready, as was the hot tub and included the key code for entry. The twinkling lights on the christmas tree and the beautiful door wreath made the perfect first impressions. The underfloor heating made the cottage lovely and warm, as during our visit the temp reached -9°, perfect weather for hot tubbing. The enclosed garden was an added bonus for our dog. Local walks are well sign posted and very dog friendly. Close to Gleneagles Hotel, where you are free to walk around the immaculate surroundings, as long as your dog remains on its lead and you stay on the paths. You can qatch the gun dogs during their training sessions on the lawn, near the kennels. The A9, Stirling, Crieff and Perth all within a short drive and great for exploring. Our week went all to quickly, but we will visit again.

This was our first holiday away together as a family and I am so glad that we picked here to make some wonderful memories. The cottage is beaufully decorated and comfortable and felt like a real home from home, which made life so much easier for our little one. The open plan kitchen / living room is perfect and comfy with everything you need to chill out in the evening and cook up a storm. Sadly since this is Scotland we had quite a lot of rain so didn't use the outdoor space much, but it is really spacious and inviting! Hot tub is always a bonus and this one is the height of luxury! An absolutely massive bed with some of the softest and cosiest sheets I have ever slept in. David had organised a travel cot and high chair for us so even the little one slept in style. Auchterarder itself is a lovely little town. Nice and close to Stirling and Perth but the town itself has some lovely eating spots. The cottage is only a short walk from the town centre and the parking outside the property is super handy. All in all we had an absolute blast at Feus and will definitely return again in the future! About the location

AUCHTERARDER

Crieff 9 miles; Perth 13 miles; Stirling 20 miles; Glasgow 45 miles; Edinburgh 58 miles.

From the Gaelic meaning Upper Highland, the small town of Auchterarder sits amidst stunning rural scenery in Scotland’s beautiful Strathearn, Perthshire. The town was once affectionately known as The Town of 100 Drawbridges in the Middle Ages, on account of the small bridges that criss-crossed the gutters, offering access between the road and the houses. Gaining the title of Royal Burgh in 1200, Auchterarder was subsequently torched and completely destroyed by retreating Jacobites in 1715, and only the handloom industry allowed it to grow and thrive again. On the occassion of the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton the Queen gave the title of Earl and Countess of Strathearn to the happy couple. Offering a fascinating history prominent in its old buildings, today the town is often referred to as The Lang Toun or Long Town after its 1.5 mile long main street, which leads to its thriving centre where many attractive shops, cafes and bars can be found. Hill walking, horse riding, cycling, shooting, fishing and even parachuting are available in this wonderful area, but golf enthusiasts will be especially delighted with the famous Gleneagles Hotel complex and Auchterarder Golf Club next door. St Andrews and Carnoustie are also an easy travel distance away.
