"Really comfortable cottage set in beautiful surroundings within easy reach of local market towns and with two excellent eateries within 10 minutes easy walk."
We had a great stay and the weather was even kind to us……
-
"Outstanding decor and comfort."
Would point out the following as requested by owners. 1. Dishwasher not working on arrival, (repaired within 4 days) 2. Carpet in sun lounge not cleaned properly thick with dark coloured dog hair uplifted one shovel full of dog hair (photographed to substantiate) 3. Toilet seat upstairs not secured needs repaired. 4. Downstairs toilet hot tap insecure needs permanent fixture. Toilet roll holder ready to come off wall. 5. Would be helpful to have outside drying facility 6. Comfortable garden furniture would be appreciated.
Gloria, Many thanks for highlighting all this. All topics now fully addressed. The house is prone to little knocks and bruises and we do our best to keep on top of them. Glad you found the house comfortable during your stay. Les Property Owner

"It was our second stay at this cottage - a lovely property in a beautiful area."
The kitchen is well equipped and lounges and bedrooms very comfortable.

"Absolutely fabulous cottage, very stylish, great location, highly recommended"

"Thank you. Very nice."
Whether for a few days or a few weeks, lots to see around the area. Easy travel to Pitlochry, Aberfeldy, Dunkeld and Perth. If you have a dog, it'll be as much a holiday for them. Contained garden that our pup would have stayed out all day. He loved the gorgeous walks to next to the river where he chased Red Squirrels, Pheasants and Deer most mornings. Visit the Birks of Aberfeldy or get off to Ossians Cave in Dunkeld. For a dog friendly hostelry you can't better the Inn on the Tay. Will be worth another visit for us.

"The sofas in the main sitting room are quite uncomfortable - not a lot of support."
Other cottages I have rented have provided the first basket of logs for the wood burner. We arrived following a power cut and would have welcomed the ability to light the log burner immediately. Other than that the cottage was perfect.

"It is a lovely traditional cottage, decorated tastefully which makes it feel quite luxurious."
Cleaning was reasonable but socks and toiletries left by other holidayers etc isn’t very reassuring when you arrive for your stay. The instructions regarding bins/what you can flush down the toilet etc. we found to be very aggressive and would have preferred a gentler approach to getting the message across.

"What a lovely holiday cottage!"
We had a great stay in The old School house. Such a beautiful, roomy house with all the comforts of home. We would definitely return. A lovely base for exploring the beautiful surrounding area. Thank you for a lovely stay.

"Charming and delightful cottage with a tiny stream running through the garden."
The Old Schoolhouse is a Victorian building brought up to modern standards and tastefully decorated following a very recent refurb. Great are to stay as well with lots of things to do. Coop (med) just 10 minutes away in Abberfeldy along with petrol and lots of great independent shops and cafes. All this made for a great holiday. PS visit the Cranog Centre great for all ages

The Old Schoolhouse is a lovely choice for families, providing a heart-warming base to return to each evening, with a lawned garden where you can sit out and take in the day’s events.
Internally, the property features a large kitchen where the chef of the group can get acquainted amongst a host of appliances, including an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge, while the others can prepare the oak dining table for a sumptuous feast.
When it comes to unwinding, head to the sitting room where you can take comfort next to the woodburning stove whilst catching up on your favourite shows, or make use of the sun lounge and challenge each other to a family boardgame.
As the evening comes to a close, choose from three well-presented bedrooms to catch your rest; a king-size, double and bunk room are on offer, each completed with soft furnishings and a good amount of storage space for your personal belongings.
Allow your pooch to stretch their legs in the enclosed garden whilst you kick back on the patio furniture and soak up the last of the evening sunshine.
Nestled on the banks of River Tay you will find a local pub and restaurant, and across the street lies the Grantully Hotel both with excellent restaurants and bars which are perfect on those nights you don’t fancy cooking.
Grandtully is also home to an award-winning chocolate artisan at Iain Burnett’s Highland Chocolatier, as well as a convenience store where you can pick up any essentials.
Venture to the small town of Aberfeldy, where you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to outdoor adventures; take on white-water rafting, abseiling, gorge walking or canoeing or simply spend an afternoon wandering the Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery or Aberfeldy Watermill.
For a delightful escape to Perthshire, choose The Old School as a base that you’ll be delighted to return to.
