  • "Excellent property with fantastic facilities."

Only slight downside was that we had no internet access or WiFi in the property all week. Probably due to the weather affecting it (very rural area). It was a nice digital detox though!

The hosts ( Emma and David) couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcomed. Nothing was too much trouble. They were brilliant! They have created a stunning cottage. The location was fantastic and we really did have the best week.

So glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay Ruth! Thank you for the lovely review. Hope to welcome you back in the near future. Best wishes, Emma and David. Property Owner

Everything was perfect. We loved relaxing in the hot tub. The dog enjoyed her welcome box which was a really lovely and unique. It’s well equipped with everything you need. • "We had the perfect stay at The Byre and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing break in South Wales."

Location is ideally situated to explore the whole South Wales coast and we spent our two weeks exploring everywhere from Newport to St David’s and Barry Island to the Brecon Beacons. The cottage itself is perfect, everything has been thought about and the huge garden and hot tub make it the perfect spot. Simply perfect x

  • "This was a fabulous find!"

The property (The Byre) was gorgeous, incredibly comfortable and very spacious; the owners had thought of everything. This is, by far, one of the best places we have ever stayed. The garden was perfect for my German Shepherd and the place was situated within reach of so many lovely places to go, particularly with a dog. In particular, we loved Dunraven Castle and Beach. The Farmers Arms (Turkish Mezze) served amazing food - we just wished we had visited it earlier in our holiday so we could have gone back and tried other things on the menu. It was lovely to meet Emma; she and her husband David are an inspiration and have created a wonderful space! Oh - and you have to stop by the Kune Kune piggies, they are bundles of fun (although they are fast becoming "teenagers")!!! Thank you so much for having us.

Thank you so much Julie- it is so great to hear how you enjoyed your stay here! The pigs are missing your visits! You are more than welcome back any time :-) Property Owner

  • "A super cottage!"

Everything we needed! Emma and David have created a lovely set of 3 cottages on their working farm that would be ideal for an extended-family break/holiday! For keen walkers the cottages are a very short walk from the South Wales coastal path, a short walk/drive to lots of beautiful villages/resorts and ideally situated near Bridgend - half-way between Cardiff and Swansea. We were lucky enough to have fantastic weather and 1 week just wasn't enough to visit all the places we wanted to see - we will need to visit again! Looking forward to it! :)

Thank you so much Paul for a lovely review and we are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. See you again soon! Property Owner

Very well stocked with all the home comforts. The hot tub was wonderful. Location is excellent, very close to good pubs, an organic milk 'cow' hut and long walks. Very dog friendly, with huge garden and lovely welcome pack not only for the humans but also the dogs. Owners were very responsive and helpful.

Thank you very much for a lovely review Carole - we are glad to hear you and the dogs had such a good bank holiday break. Hopefully see you again soon xx Property Owner
