  • "Excellent directions to the property, superb location and the house was wonderfully large and plenty of room for the 9 adults to get together and also to have some space to themselves."

    The hot tub was well used and enjoyed by all. Lots of games to use there too which was very thoughtful. However a couple of points that need to be addressed, better lighting in the games room would be great particularly over the pool table and darts board. A bread knife and sharpener would also be very useful additions. All in all an extremely enjoyable stay and would go back again.

  • "Beautiful location, amazing view."

    Lovely to stargaze with no light pollution. House was very warm which we enjoyed. Perhaps the interior is slightly tired but perfect when you have gone away with two small children and a dog. The upstairs floor is a bit cronky and I would suggest a floor light by the two steps on the landing. One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Hot tub was lovely. Nearby village had everything you needed including dog friendly places to eat. The welcome pack was brilliant with a lovely choice of items. Throughly enjoyed our stay.

  • "The house was very spacious and in a lovely area but there was a lot of noise from the working place next to the property, the floorboards upstairs in the bedrooms are broken so you had to pick your way around."

    The garden wasn't suited for our dog, she could get out on to the lane so we had to be outside with her all the time.

  • "Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage."

    There is plenty to do on the grounds to keep busy and a lovely place to unwind for a break. My advice to anyone that wants to use streaming services (Netflix) would be to take a laptop and hdmi cable.

  • "Overall wondersful stay."

    Hot tub could have bern warmer and the oven door wouldnt close. Gsmes room floor gave us splinters. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful, peaceful setting. The house itself is lovely. The bed wasnt the most comfortable but otherwise facilitues were fab. We will definitely be coming to stay again and would easily recommend this place to stay. Oh and the log burner was lovely!!

  • "Lovely quiet area in the beautiful welsh country."

    Friendly locals, central location to see the south west of wales, Tenby, new quay and Aberystwyth all around an hours drive away. The property next to a quiet working farm and business (rarely saw them or heard a thing!). Nice little walks on the country roads around the property to stretch your legs, can take around an hour where you can see the farm animals and nice views over the tops. Inside the property we were kept lovely and warm with the central heating, we took extra wood for the log burning fire which we used in the evening and would recommend doing the same if you want that extra touch. The bedrooms were very comfy and clean, nicely furnished in each and every one and plenty of space in each for your belongings. Same for the 3 bathrooms. The Hot Tub was great, took a day or so to heat up after it’s serviced, but I’d rather lose a day and know it’s clean! The view from the tub are brill, would recommend you take sandals and a dressing gown to make things a little comfier getting in and out. Kitchen appliances were all good, plenty of pots pans and cutlery, only thing missing was a pair of working scissors but I’m being picky. Lovely welcome basket thank you. Large sofa and tv in the living area, we took a laptop and HD cable, the WiFi was good and we were able to stream Netflix and sky go. Wood burner to keep it cosy and plenty of games to play although they do need some tlc. Darts board and pool table to mix it up a bit, we never got bored! We really enjoyed our stay and would defiantly return and recommend this property and area for a nice relaxing break. I’d give a strong 9/10, the wiggle room would just be the little bit of missing TLC around the games and games room, Garden and cleaning, bit more love and attention here and it would be spot on, but overall a very very very nice stay.   • "The house was clean and had good facilities."

    Everything in working order apart from the shower downstairs leaked so we chose not to use it. Hot tub wasn’t listed and was a good addition. House was ideally placed to explore and was great for a large group.

  • "There was one thing I was very disappointed with, on viewing the property it shows on the pictures a trampoline in the ground which I thought would be perfect for my 3yr old granddaughter as we wouldn't have to worry about her playing on it and falling off, and she was so excited about it."

    When arriving at the property we noticed the trampoline was curved, after closer inspection we saw the trampoline was not safe, and was very unstable, was curved up at the sides and was not secure in the ground, my granddaughter was very upset that she couldn't play on it.

  • "It's a lovely big house, well appointed with everything needed."

    We had a lovely family Christmas and were delighted that the owner took the time to decorate the house, it was a lovely touch. The wifi didn't work for a while but we had had a huge storm the day before. We will definitely be back. The negative thing I would say, is that we had toddlers with us and there is no fire guard, and a gate on the access to drive would be good as dogs are allowed. Our Kelpie managed to tiptoe around the edge of the cattle grid.

  • "Disappointed with the information that I was given as I specifically asked if there were any steps on the ground floor as my dad is unable to walk more that a few paces with a walking frame and uses a mobility scooter."

    The dining table was on a different level to the kitchen by 2 steps and lounge by one large step down, We did manage with my brother and husband helping him but feel that this needs to be clear in the property details.

The property

Newcastle Emlyn 3 miles.

This spacious detached house is situated in extensive grounds in a rural location just three miles from Newcastle Emlyn in west Wales.

The size of the property makes it ideal for a family or group of friends to get together for a peaceful retreat surrounded by beautiful countryside.

On the ground floor, there is a large kitchen which boasts an Aga where you can cook meals to enjoy in the dining room which benefits from spectacular views over the countryside and mountains in the distance.

Then you have the choice of relaxing in a sitting room that features a smart TV, DVD and a woodburner or getting competitive in the games room that comes complete with a pool table and TV.

There are six bedrooms spread over the two floors.
