Dinas Cross Cottages

Nestled within the picturesque Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and within striking distance to the beaches of Pwll Gwaelod and Cwm-Yr-Eglwys, are these two idyllic properties The Swallows and Ty Gwennol Bach. Each property houses a superb opportunity for two couples to get away from it all and spend some time within an area stepped with opportunities for walking, watersports and wildlife-watching. You and your loved ones can look forward to picking up fresh produce from the local mini market and prepare a delicious home-cooked meal within the amply equipped kitchen before gathering around the dining table for a sociable evening or a relaxing night in front of the TV. During the summer months, enjoy soaking up the coastal surroundings within the garden area before heading to the beach. For those evenings, where you don’t feel like cooking, you will find a selection of three pubs within a short walk, in addition to a shop for picking up the necessities. To keep you busy whilst staying here, venture to the nearby Cwm-yr-Eglwys where you will find a sandy cove and church ruins which rest at the edge of the sea. Alternatively, head to the town of Newport where you will find further amenities and attractions including Carreg Coetan and the boat club. However you choose to spend your getaway, both properties promise a traditional Welsh getaway.

The property

This no frills, semi-detached National Trust-owned farmhouse is situated in a sheltered position on Dinas Island (actually a prominent headland) and is part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

The farmhouse offers peace, seclusion and is perfectly located on a working sheep farm in north Pembrokeshire.

The traditional slate front opens into a large hallway that leads you through to the comfortable lounge with a feature open fire.

As you continue on you will find the well-equipped original farm kitchen with its traditional low open beamed ceiling.

On the second floor you will find one master double bedroom, a bunk bedroom and the family bathroom with suite of bath, shower, WC and wash hand basin all enjoying views over the pasture and farmyard.

At the front of the property you will find a patio area with garden furniture and to the side and rear you will find a large lawn area.

The lawn area is shared with the owners but please note that the owners very rarely use it as they are working the farm and all pets Must be kept on a lead. A short walk from the property will grant you access to the Pembrokeshire coast path as well as Pwllgwaelod and Cwm yr Eglwys beaches.

A short drive will bring you to Dinas and Newport villages where you will find a selection of pubs, shops, galleries and eateries.
