  • "A lovely quiet location."

We enjoyed using the little paths through the woods down to Cwm and Pwllgwaelod.

  • "The cottage inside was absolutely as expected, very clean and comfortable and very very tastefully decorated etc and it was so peaceful."

Minor issues.....only one toilet roll, no washing up liquid and an old scourer sponge that had seen better days! Outside patio area needed some tlc. Lovely walk to beaches with our dog. A huge disappointment was that both pubs within walking distance did not let dogs inside! This had been one of our reasons for booking the cottage ..the ability to walk to a pub in the evening for some food and a drink. We drove to The Golden Lion in nearby Newport and they welcomed our dog with open arms!

  • "The barn was very clean and in a very quiet location within walking distance to a couple of nice beaches."

My kids loved the gas fire and the smart TV with access to Netflix. I booked the break as a last minute getaway the night before we were due to arrive and paid £877 for three nights. On arrival at around 3:30pm we found that the property had no power (electricity completely off) I phoned the management company who got an electrician out pretty quickly to be fair however he couldn’t resolve the issue as it was a DNO fault and didn’t know when power would be reinstated (nobody’s fault really but meant we didn’t have power for the majority of our first day) not sure if others were advised about sn apparent power cut but nobody let us know when booking. There was also an intermittent issue with the water at the property so that when you opened a tap on some occasions no water at all would run not sure if it was an air lock in the system or something but it was annoying sometimes waiting a few minutes before running any water. A few comments I read beforehand were mostly about stripping bedding and separating towels atc which if I’m honest wasn’t too much trouble but at almost £900 for 3 nights stay I feel that this should be included really. So in conclusion it wasn’t a bad trip by any means I just didn’t feel like I had good value for my money. All the best

  • "The property was clean, cosy and in a beautiful location."

It had everything we needed and was well stocked with extras too. We enjoyed our welcome package! The local beach is highly recommended and there was plenty of places to explore with our young children. We will definitely be back!

  • "Lovely, comfortable, well equipped cottage in beautiful location, fridge with ice box would have been useful for cool bag pack."

Welcome pack good. Limited supplies eg toilet roll, one only, cleaning cloths, dishwasher tablets have not had to bring supplies for washing up etc previously with other companies. Irritating email regarding stripping beds, this should be the cleaners job, you don’t strip beds in hotels! Great accommodation, agency not so good

  • "Beautifully situated cottage and so cosy and well equipped."

So peaceful and it was fab to be able to walk to three beaches! It would have been lovely to have a little table/chairs on the patio for warm evenings, but still lovely.

  • "The cottage was lovely and clean."

However my feedback as to why I would not recommend your company is due to the nature of the emails and texts that you sent. Firstly to be advised several times before arrival and 24 hours before our departure that we should strip the beds, empty dishwasher, put the rubbish out, place towels etc in a pile and make sure the cottage is clean and tidy is an intrusion on our holiday. The last thing I want is a reminder 24 hours before departure by text and email of this nature as I am on holiday and do not want to be thinking about my exit. Secondly your charge for the cottage surely includes cleaner costs. I have never been asked before to strip beds, put rubbish out, empty dishwasher etc etc when at a holiday cottage. Quite bizarre. I will not be using your company again and will not be recommending.

  • "Would be good to know it was semi detached."

Neighbours were doing drilling fairly early in the morning, but expect from that great cottage.

  • "Little Barn is in a quiet corner of a beautiful coastline."

Within a 15 minute (steep) wooded walk you have quaint and delightful Cwm Yr Eglwys. The cottage is stylish and has very comfortable furniture and a Smart TV. The kitchen is generally well-equipped though the small fridge has no freezer compartment. There is an excellent village store within walking distance with a good deli selection. I would recommend it 100% but remember to take a hairdryer.

The property

Pwllgwaelod and Cwm yr Eglwys beaches on the north Pembrokeshire coast are just a short walk from this very pretty cottage, one of a cluster of three at the end of a narrow track.

Little Barn combines characterful rooms with modern living and is decorated in coastal shades with contemporary furnishings throughout.

It makes an ideal retreat for a couple or a small family.

Dinas Cross village is less than 10 minutes’ walk and has two welcoming pubs, both of which serve food.

There is also a beachside seafood restaurant, fish & chip shop and two general stores.

A walk up the steep hill behind the village will reveal a fine panoramic view over Fishguard and Newport Bays and it’s a great place to eat your fish & chips! Newport/Trefdraeth is known as the pearl of the Pembrokeshire coastline and is just a couple of miles away.

There you will find two beaches, Carningli/Angel Mountain, individual shops, a weekly local producers' market as well as some really nice places to eat and drink. A path leads directly from the cottage to the coastal path where 186 miles of walking awaits.
