"Excellent property at the harbour front."
Lots of room for a family to have a relaxing holiday. The property was so well equipped it had everything you need during your holiday. There is also access to a private beautifully maintained garden . Brilliant place to stay handy for the coastal path and public transport to Anstruther and St Andrews. Communication was great any questions were answered quickly . I have stayed in many properties in the East Neuk over the years and this is one of the best!

"A truly lovely stay at Flourloft."
Excellent accommodation for 2 adults and 3 children but can accommodate 6 easily. The beds were super comfortable and the 3 bathrooms were a bonus. We would love to return in the summer. One minor recommendation would be to perhaps leave some coffee sachets, teabags and milk as a welcome pack. This is something we’ve always experienced in other holiday rentals.

"Great location and a nice property to relax in with family."
I could imagine that the lack of any view might feel a bit claistrophobic if you stay in a lot, but we were outside all day so it was nice and cosy. Great to have 3 en-suite bedrooms. Plenty of space for storage and hanging clothes. Garden area lovely to sit out in. A few small negatives - extractor fan in one en'suite bathroom didn't work, some beds comfortable, others less so (creaky springs), not enough loo roll for 6 people for 4 nights. Also i can't remember if tea bags were supposed to be included or not, but I think there were 4 bags, not nearly enough.

"Lovely flat, all as described."
Could not be more convenient for harbour or village centre.

"Nice comfortable property."
If I had to say anything it would be about the mattresses, not very comfy ans as we were asked to strip beds on leaving we were shocked at the state of them---- stains not too pleasant. Helpful also if a salt and pepper mill and a pair of scissors were available.

"We found the apartment comfortable and perfect for the period we were there."
It had everything we needed and situated close to Anstruther for shopping. The owners were onsite very quickly when the washing machine stopped working. There is no sea view but down the stairs and out into the street and the harbour was right there. Would stay again and highly recommend.

Home from home, very familiar and comfortable and with 3 en suite bedrooms it's also very convenient. Thank you once again! A couple of light bulbs need replacing, just for info.

We would have booked for next year, however the listing no longer accepts dogs and therefore we will be unable to visit again, which is very disappointing

"My husband, I and Taz the dog had the most perfect weeks holiday ."
Flour loft was very cosy and comfortable, kept in good condition and had everything you would need for a self catering holiday. We really loved Pittenweem and spent most of the week walking the Fife Coastal Path. Thank you Janice, hope to return next year. Susan, Archie and Taz

"The cottage was excellent, however, when booking, I specifically asked about the Car Parking, which the site stated quite clearly would be off road."
This was not the cas, and I had to park on the main street. This is really misrepresentation and needs to be fixed.

"It's a lovely holiday cottage, which we visited for the first time 4yrs ago, but this time we found the two double beds very uncomfortable and in need of new mattresses."
Also the lawn was difficult to access due to very overgrown rose brambles, obstructing the path. Another worry was the steep steps to the right of the back door to the garden, perhaps a gate rather than just a pole across would be safer for young children. We had our 2 & 4 year old grandchildren staying with us. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Gillian Ferguson & family

"We enjoyed the convenient situation of this beautiful apartment."
No complaints at all except maybe that there was no sea view, but we knew about that when we booked. The garden at the rear was a nice surprise. Very happy visitors.

"The flat is well kitted out, clean and modern."
However, there's a garage next door to the flat, which was quite noisy some early mornings and sometimes into the evening. A ladder placed next to an unlockable window was disconcerting. Lovely area. Pittenweem is very picturesque. While we very much enjoyed our stay, the description on your website is somewhat misleading "sharing a rear lawn with sea views" can be interpreted that the flat has sea views, which it doesn't. In fact, there are no views. That was quite disappointing. Other mentions of this were in the book left for comments.

"Very clean modern property."
Ideal for friends or extended family with two on suite bedrooms upstairs and one on suite downstairs. The property is situated on the harbour but as it has been built behind the original harbourside property there is no view of the sea. Thouroughly enjoyed our stay in Pittenweem at the Flourloft and would recommend it

"The fishing village of Pittenweem was a lovely friendly place for a quiet break and the Flour Loft is perfectly situated to take advantage of the coastal path for easy walking access to St Monans and Anstruther."
We liked the fact that it was so easy to gain access to the cottage when we arrived and were able to park right outside. The cottage contained everything we needed, very comfortable, and it was really interesting to be so close to the harbour and the inquisitive seal who would appear every day. Would love to return sometime.

The village of Pittenweem is one of the busiest fishing ports along the East Neuk of Fife and, as such, is a popular attraction for tourists. There is a pub by the delightful harbour, which is surrounded by restored traditional buildings, all adding to its charm. The village name means ‘place of the cave’ and is believed to refer to the cave St Fillan used as a chapel in the 8th century, and where he is reputed to have prepared his sermons by the glow of his arm. The cave is open to the public and sits in Cove Wynd, in the village. The present day Church of Scotland, or The Kirk, sits on the site of the former Pittenweem Priory, an Augustinian Priory dating back to the Middle Ages. Today, the village is popular with tourists and hosts the Pittenweem Arts Festival each August, an event that has grown in size over the years. The East Neuk Festival is another arts festival that also encompasses many of the villages in the area. The village centre sits a few streets back from the shore and boasts a shop, bakers, a Post Office and a café, plus several bars and galleries. From Anstruther, one mile away, take a day trip out into the Firth of Forth and visit the Isle of May, a National Nature Reserve, or visit one of the other attractive coastal villages in this corner of Fife. With St Andrews and Edinburgh easily accessible, there is so much for the visitor to enjoy.
