  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Bodwena."

Its in a good situation in the centre of Moelfre. The accommodation is lovely, bright, fresh and well thought out. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could possibly need for food preparation, dishwasher and washing machine. Lounge very comfortable with a log burner and dining area in the open plan space. The bedrooms in the property are up there with some of the best we have stayed in (cleanliness, quality of furnishings and comfort of beds). Bathrooms spotless, bright and fresh. The garden is fully enclosed with great outside eating space and sun loungers. I do understand the comments about access round the back to the parking, but it didn't pose a problem to us and we have a large vehicle - you just have to take your time maneuvering so don't let previous comments deter you. We did have to contact the owners with a general issue we encountered and I have to say their responsiveness was quick and concise and was greatly appreciated. Would I recommend Bodwena - most certainly

  • "Such a beautiful house!"

Everything we needed, and so clean and comfortable. Weather was very kind to us so we were able to sit in the garden every day with a drink and a book. A quiet village but lovely food and friendly service at Ann’s Pantry and delicious ice cream across the road overlooking the sea. Plenty of coastal walks within reach and brilliantly located for outings further afield. Accessing the parking at rear of house can be a bit tricky and tight but you get used to it! Thank you for another wonderful holiday (our 4th with Menai Holidays)

  • "This was our second stay at Bodwena and we enjoyed our stay even more than last year."

A beautiful house, immaculately kept, extremely clean and well equipped. We have no hesitation in recommending this fabulous house as 5 star + and we are thinking about booking again for next year. (We have already passed on the details to a family member).

  • "The cottage was absolutely beautiful and was in such a great location near the sea and the pub."

It was nicely decorated with touches reflecting the area and the coast. I adored the kitchen as modern, very light and spacious. Also a good sized garden where you could enjoy a glass of wine in the late sunshine. The cottage was well serviced with every type of utensil and lovely crockery too. We would certainly return again as perfect for our needs. Thank you .

  • "Fantastic week at Bodwena."

Perfect location in the heart of Moelfre. Cottage is very comfortable, and we were blessed with beautiful weather all week so the garden was most welcome at the end of the day’s activities. Parking is extremely tight - too narrow for our Tesla - but we parked at the top of the road by the RNLI car park all week and no problem getting a space. If you have a big car and value your paintwork, take the alternative!

Hi - many thanks for your feedback, so delighted you enjoyed Bodwena particularly the location and the garden which we agree are both quite special. With regards to parking, yes access is very narrow but with care we are able to park our EV SUV (same size as a Tesla) and a van on the drive without a problem. Property Owner

  • "Really lovely location, short walk to everything you need."

There were two cots and one high chair provided for our little ones, we weren’t aware these would be available - so thank you! As mentioned parking is tight and definitely follow the parking instructions given by the property to make your life easier. Had an amazing time for my daughter’s first birthday and lots of memories made in this beautiful house and garden.

  • "Lovely property, fully equipped for every need."

Garden and sun loungers, table and chairs perfect for outside relaxing and dining. Open plan staircase requires caution. The downstairs shower room is a bit small but adequate. Poison in village perfect.

  • "Beautiful house in the perfect location."

We had a fantastic week, very lucky with the weather. I know you said the parking was tight, I have a Fiesta and managed ok but any larger vehicle like my friends really struggled, if the space across from the parking hadn’t been empty all of the time we wouldn’t have been able to get out, saying that the house on the corner doesn’t help where it is tightest by putting out those stone planters. Obviously there is nothing you can do about that. We managed and left cars up the road when we could.

Hi - Many thanks for your feedback. So glad you appreciated the cottage and it's perfect location. With regards to parking whilst we agree that the access is narrow, we are able to park an SUV and a van on the drive and reverse out (with care) without issue. Property Owner

  • "This house is lovely and we’ll definitely book it again."

The owners have done an amazing job. There were only 3 of us staying so it was more than big enough. If there were 6 people staying it would be a little too small for us. The drive around to the parking space at the rear of the property is a little tight but gets easier once you’ve done it a couple of times. It may be a good idea to give the dimensions so that customers know before booking. Moelfre is beautiful and the property is so close to everything.

Very pet friendly. Great back garden which is south facing and a suntrap with lots of seating and loungers provided, very private. Parking is a little tricky but nothing to complain about. Ideally positioned in a quiet village with all amenities and the coastal walks are on the doorstep. Already booked for next year!

!!!!! We absolutely LOVED this cottage, it’s very special. Fabulous location to explore the island. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we stepped through the door, the heating was on and the lamps made it feel very cosy. We would love to return asap. Our dog was very well catered for too, all the little touches were very kind. The owners left some sweets and Halloween decorations for our children which we found very kind and thoughtful. 10 out of 10 No negatives!

  • "Our stay in Bodwena was excellent."

A modern clean light property with a lovely garden. Our spaniel loved it ! There were great walks on our doorstep and beautiful places to visit within close reach. We are aware this was Bodwenas first season and have some suggestions. Maybe a cupboard or more shelving in the bathroom. The little glass shelf is not enough for 6 peoples toiletries. More hanging space in the 2nd two bedrooms. Possibbly some pizza trays and pasta bowls in the kitchen. Aside from those little niggles it was fabulous and we would revisit.

We were extremely lucky to have wall to wall sunshine, which helped. The cottage it’s self was done to a lovey standard, the large bright, well equipped and tastefully chosen kitchen was the icing on the cake. We loved the cosy, tasteful bedrooms and the window seat with side sea view. We enjoyed the location, literally a stone’s throw from the sea and all it’s wonderful walks. Our Labrador was made up! The garden is perfect, and what a sun trap! Crowning glory, 30 seconds to the pub! A truly enjoyable stay, thank you so much. We’re already planning our return!
