  • "We had a fantastic stay at Oaktree Cottage."

The property is well stocked with everything you need. The stairs were a bit challenging for my mum who has mobility issues but we did manage throughout the week. The cottage is ideally suited to the surrounding areas with Fowey, Truro and Mevagissey being very close by, as well as Tesco which is just across the road. Charlestown is also beautiful and well worth visiting. Very dog friendly with a lovely enclosed garden. We would definitely stay at Oaktree Cottage again!

Thank you for the positive feedback. We do hope you will return to Oaktree Cottage once again. Chris & Clair Property Owner

  • "Overall, a lovely and quaint cottage - just need to mind your head in a few places if fairly tall!"

!! Well situated for the local shops and visiting the surrounding area - ideal location. Great to have a fully enclosed garden for the dog as well. One down side we have to mention was the cleanliness of the food waste bins. On arrival there was an off smell in the kitchen which we found was coming from the grey food bin under the kitchen sink - it hadn't been emptied and the food inside was mouldy. Took it outside to put in the green food waste bin to find flies milling around the lid and when opened the bin was full of food waste and the smell was horrendous so this hadn't been emptied either! We took the both bins and emptied them into the black waste wheelie bin at the bottom of the garden but left the green bin there as it was disgusting inside. The grey bin we took back and cleaned it out. Surprised the bins are not checked by the cleaners because this is a health hazard. We put the waste bins out (including the recycling) for Thursday as per the cottage information instructions; the black bin was emptied but the recycling wasn't collected - perhaps the information needs to be updated as there is no mention of putting the food waste bin out at all which is why we found the bins in the state they were?

Dear Julie, Please accept our unreserved apologies and we thank you for bringing this to our attention. This is absolutely not the way we run our property. We will investigate this issue with our management company immediately. Kind regards, Chris and Clair. Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage owned by lovely people."

Everything we needed for a family of 6 to feel like a home away from home. Great amenities on the doorstep whilst still feeling like a seculded peaceful cottage. Charleston harbour is beautiful, with a great selection of pubs, restaurants and cafes. It’s only a 10 minute walk from the cottage and makes a great evening out. The famous Par market is a short 5 min drive and is attached to a large indoor play area, covered mini golf and outdoor play park with is great for any rainy days. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen, cosy living room with smart tv and log burner, comfortable beds and a great shower. We wouldn’t hesitate to book the property again

  • "Fabulous little cottage, close to amenities."

Well maintained and equipped. Only criticism was that the garden is unsecure for pets, if this could be addressed, we would like to stay again in the future.

We're so glad you enjoyed the cottage. Thank you for your feedback, this is really helpful. We have now secured the side garden for pets. We hope to welcome you back soon. Property Owner
