“Never again!”
18th of August we were informed about new Corona rules for the UK. It was impossible to get to the UK without crossing countries that were taken off the travel corridor list. Meaning we would have to spend our entire holliday in quarantine.
After verifying this with several authorities, we informed Sykes (24th of August). In order to save everybodies money, we requested to transfer the holliday from September 11th, to April/May next year. Alternatively we would have to cancell the trip and request a refund.
Sykes however, kept us at arms length, claiming they were trying to reach the owner (for 2,5 weeks!). In fact they were trying to exceed the commencing date of our stay, in order to be able to keep the money without having to let the property. We called and wrote numerous times!! No answer. We congratulate Sykes in succesfully stealing our money.
