"Bit of a fading beauty - but what a beauty!"
The location is top notch and feels like a Corfu villa. The kitchen is the most well stocked I have ever encountered. Due to the layout, the place feels huge. Perhaps it is understandable that the storage radiators have failed to keep a touch of damp at bay - and possibly wood rot in the main wardrobe? I didn't find the bed very comfortable. Like all the furnishings, I assume it is high end but dated. All things considered, I feel this is reflected in the rental price. Absolute bargain for a family visiting the area. And it is all about the gorgeous local area after all. On a side note: On arrival, we found that the apartment had not been cleaned after the previous guests. I was able to contact Sykes/ Coastal cottages straight away and get everything sorted immediately. Good to know that you are in good hands :)

"Stunning property with outstanding views, we didn’t want to leave."
Very spacious accommodation, comfortable beds, good showers, beautiful gardens, excellent parking. WiFi worked well with good coverage throughout the property. The weather wasn’t the best over our 4 night break but we still managed some coastal walks on the path just below the property and a walk to Salcombe (5 mile round trip), along with two visits to the fabulous Overbeck’s National Trust gardens a 10 minute walk away. We appreciated the outdoor furniture when the sun was shining or on the covered verandah when it was raining. Sitting in the window seats reading whilst looking out at the view was blissful. Everything you could need was supplied, other than oven gloves of any kind, but we managed with the tea towel. If you are looking for a peaceful break, you won’t be disappointed. All you can hear are the birds and the waves. There is a friendly robin and squirrels that run around in the beautiful tall trees. We hope to return sometime.

"Our fourth visit, which probably says it all!"
Great location if you want to park the car and spend the week walking and enjoying the stunning scenery here. NT Overbecks is just up the road (5-10mins walk) and has a decent little cafe now. We had a couple of issues but they were quickly resolved entirely to our satisfaction. Good local support team. We picked a week of indifferent weather but still really enjoyed the visit.

"The venue and location were perfect for us."
The flat was surprisingly big. The beds were comfy. Some nice artwork. It was cold and draughty the heating is not adequate even in April. The Internet was useless. This either needs sorting or just remove it altogether. You could not connect consistently at all. The kitchen was well equipped and lots of space. The cleaning standards were poor. The single sink in the bedroom was filthy on arrival. When we stripped the bedding off at the end and the duvet was dirty and stained. The gardens were lovely and well cared for. With a little more TLC this could be a really super let but as it is it is at best 3 stars.
