"The lodge was beautiful , clean and well furnished but there were one or two things that could have done with attention ,,The first being the toilet in the on suit bathroom ?"
?the seat is very loose and unstable and slides about when the toilet is used and secondly the weather board on the front door is very loose !! and could let in water but these things did not effect our stay !.

"We found Water's Edge to be a very comfortable, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean lodge."
The position is perfect, being right next to the lake, and very peaceful. The kettle had an "electrical failure" sticker on it, so we had to use a pan to boil water for the first day of our stay. We mentioned this to our lovely cleaner, Sue, and she got us a brand new replacement kettle within 24 hours, which we were very grateful for. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely re-book this lodge.

"A lovely lodge in a perfect spot for a quiet week overlooking the lake."
The lodge is lovely and comfortable and is well equipped. A couple of minor points I would suggest the owners take care of. The kettle had a ‘failed’ electrical test sticker on it, which seemed to indicate it wasn’t up to the required standard, the dishwasher was full to the brim of dishes when we arrived and therefore we had to empty it upon arrival and the windows were quite grubby on the inside which impacted the view slightly. However none of this would have an impact on us returning, we had a lovely week and this lodge is by one of the nicest ones we have stayed in across the Lake District.

"The lodge was absolutely wonderful, a great spot with a view of the lake, nice and quiet."
It had everything you could want except we couldn’t find a hairdryer, we looked everywhere. We especially loved the comfy king sized bed with luxury bed linen, the thick plush towels, the huge bath in one bathroom and a shower cubicle in the other. We loved the lounge with the electric fireplace, great comfy sofas. We didnt use the cooking facilities as ate out everyday at various restaurants so cannot comment on that. We didnt use the resorts facilities either. We would definitely return to this lodge and just hope that it remains so nicely kept and looked after by considerate holiday makers who stay here.
