"A great flat near the sea front and nearby walks."
It was very clean and has all the facilities needed for an enjoyable holiday. Hopefully we will return to the flat next year
-
"WiFi was a bit hit and miss I believe it served 3 or 4 property's although to be fair it should not matter about wifi when your on holiday."
Bathroom extractor fan and outside light not working but a really nice looked after clean property. Well done.

"I have to say that I was disappointed with the property and didn't feel it represented value for money."
The rain shower didn't work, all clogged up, the lower power shower, couldn't be used to its full potential because it flooded the bathroom, a good couple of inches in the whole bathroom. I called the owner to be told it does that, remove the drain cover and it should be ok here are a couple of towels to mop up the water. So I asked for a mop so I could mop the water up first then use the towels to dry off the floor to make it safe to walk on. The cupboard next to the fridge was broken and the fridge door bashed against it every time you opened and shut it. Couldn't get the central heating working so it was cold in the evenings. You were given a key for each french door but you couldn't operate one of them. Didn't like the clothes rail in front of the french door, this was instead of a wardrobe in the master bedroom. Thankfully the tap in the bathroom was replaced nearly at the end of our stay because we really struggled to turn it off and on. There was no where to put your showergel etc in the shower other than the floor. Would I go back again no.

"Lovely oak beamed cottage just a short walk away from the beach, pub (Marstans) and supermarket (Tesco)."
The place is spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds and nice furniture. The dressing table/drawers in the double room should be replaced by a slimline wardrobe like the one in the room with two singles as it's too messy having your clothes hanging around on the hooks. The kitchen is adequately equipped but would have benefited from a fridge with a freezer compartment rather than just a fridge. (I notice from "Alison" a previous reviewer that there was a shared freezer, washing machine and dryer, but I wasn't aware of this during our visit). The tap in the bathroom was almost impossible to switch off so reported this. I should have also reported that the big overhead shower doesn't work and that the vertical drawer next to the fridge is broken (hopefully these will be rectified soon). A note should be left about the fact the floor floods if you don't take the plate off the plug hole! There are some nice touches though... a small supply of tea bags, coffee and sugar when we arrived, along with dish soap, scourer, dish cloth and tea towel. There was also hand soap and air freshner in the bathroom. We enjoyed a very comfortable stay overall and managed to have supper out on the patio two nights of our stay.

"Nice property and good position in Hunstanton."
Could have done with small welcome pack which is always nice to receive.
-
"The property was clean and well kept but is kitted out very basically and could be improved a lot by adding a few simple touches such as providing hand soap, more kitchen utensils, kitchen foil, bin bags and other basics that you wouldn't expect to bring to a holiday house but you would expect to be available when you are there."
-
"The cottage is in a perfect position for a very short walk to shops, restaurants and the sea front yet is very quiet and peaceful."
Cottage 5b had everything provided that you could need plus extra helpful things like a washing machine, dryer and freezer for all 4 cottages to use. When we had a problem the owners went above and beyond to help us. We will certainly return to The Hideaway

"We had a lovely stay at Hideaways."
The location was great. Very close to lots of arcades and the fairground and beach. Tescos was a short walk away so very handy for buying in supplies. There is a nice pub a short distance away too, opposite Tescos which did good pub grub. The centre is a short walk away too and we had a lovely meal at Chives one evening. The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfy. Kitchen was pretty well equipped. The only thing that was missing which would have been handy was some baking trays but that's obviously not the end of the world. Considering the proximity to arcades, etc. the cottage was quiet and relaxing. All in all we had a really lovely stay and would recommend it to others and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

"Comfortable property, very clean and a good location."
We will probably return again.
-
"Lovely accommodation with very friendly owners who responded to a query very fast."
Unfortunately the weather was grim and the internet was not good which is a general problem in Hunstanton. The shared laundry room is a great asset especially the books available to read. We still enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back hopefully in better weather.

"Love these cottages perfect for a visit to Hunstanton any time of year"
-
"Lovely holiday home in a fabulous location enjoyed by all"
-
"The cottage was superb clean and comfortable and although very close to all amenities it was very quiet and peaceful- tucked away from the main street."
We would recommend it.
-
"The property was comfortable with everything we needed for our stay."
Although it's in a busy tourist location, it is tucked away in a quiet spot, so it is quite private. It is very convenient for shops, the beach, eating places and sight seeing on the North Norfolk coast. The cliffs at Hunstanton are amazing and there are many other beaches within a short drive, as well as lots of other places to visit.
-
"The property was both compact and offered a good sense of space."
The weather was poor, so it was important to us that we had a really comfortable place to come back to. One of our party has sight and mobility problems and it was perfect for her. Just two small things: there was nowhere in the shower to put soap, shampoo etc. and the potato peeler was difficult to use!

"We came to Hunstanton for a short break for my birthday."
The pictures do not do this property justice. Feels like your in an old converted barn. It had all we needed to feel comfortable and was well equipped with the things we needed. You are close to the seafront and the walks along the coast are just breathtaking, we were lucky with the weather so felt like we were abroad. It is close to all the amenities. If you are looking for a home away from home or just a base while your out exploring this beautiful part of the country then you can not go wrong with the hideaway. We will definitely book again if we are back in the area.

"Your beautiful property was a wonderful find."
Thank you for sharing it. You had thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable. It was lovely to be in walking distance of the sea and having Tesco's near for groceries and petrol. We visited Oxburgh Hall and had a nice walk and saw the stunning daffodils. Also, Gooderstone Water Gardens where we enjoyed a quiet and relaxing stroll. A memorable stay, thank you.
-
"Bigger than expected."
Warm clean and comfortable.Added bonus(not mentioned) share laundry room.
-
"I think the listing should make it clear that the cottage is surrounded by caravan parks and an amusement centre is just down the road."
It was very quiet in March, but I am sure is extremely busy in the summer. Absolutely stunned that there are no opportunity for recycling at Hideaways - we ended up taking our recycling home! The cottage was very comfortable and good value for money - the bed was a bit soft for my liking, but that is a personal preference. Very limited TV channels , and tuned to Look North , so you cannot get local weather.
-
"Had a very comfortable stay."
Only gripe is would have liked lock on bathroom door.
-
"Only problem which we have experienced in other Hideaway cottages on this site is there is no lock on the bathroom door !"
! which when you are with another couple can be difficult. But ! this didn’t stop us booking again
-
"Whilst the blinds were nice we felt a little closed in, as if they were open there was no privacy, adjustable like venetian would for us have worked better as there was no view."
Also a wardrobe in the double bedroom would be better than a second desk. As the one on the lounge is more than adequate. An information booklet with emergency telephone numbers and information on the area would be good.
-
"This was our 2nd time at Hideways."
Good position in Hunstanton. Close to the beach , shops, bus stop and places to eat.
-
"This property has been nicely enhanced since our last stay, with a walk-in shower in place of the bath, a new oven and black-out blinds in the bedrooms."
Highly recommended. We'll definitely be staying here again!
-
"In these difficult Covid times, this was an enjoyable week in a property that helped us get away from it all and keep safe, it was near enough to enjoy the beaches and sea."
-
"Fabulous location."
Easy reach of all amenities, five minute walk to seafront, pub/restaurant, supermarket and ten minute level walk to town/shops. The fairground was literally on the doorstep but we were never bothered with any noise whatsoever. The accommodation was spotless and very comfortable and well laid out with a separate area with a shared washing machine and chest freezer. The setting is excellent, central but secluded for privacy. The outdoor seating area is great with a suntrap setting. This was a great base for exploring the wee gems of Norfolk and the local area. The owners left us some helpful tips on local eating places and we were never disappointed. The seafront promenade was excellent for walking to town and was clean as a whistle. The local council were out every morning sanitising all benches and hand-railings due to the current Covid-19 situation and gave us great peace of mind in these challenging times, well done Hunstanton Council. This was a great location for a short or extended break and we will certainly recommend it and we would not hesitate to return here. We will certainly recommend Sykes to our friends and family as their team were on the ball from start to finish with regular updates and advice for our holiday, well done, 10 out of 10.

"Lovely place, convenient location"
-
"Great holiday."
Very clean cottage. Close to all facilities.
-
"Fantastic location with all amenities close by"
-
"Well positioned and nicely presented group of four holiday lets."
Would certainly recommend.
-
"Fantastic location for exploring north Norfolk or bird watching ."
All the amenities are close by and very close to sea front
-
"A most enjoyable week spent in 5b Hideaways as our base to visit the northern area of Norfolk."
The cottage was ideally situated, just 10 minutes walk into Hunstanton. The cottage had everything we need for a comfortable stay.
-
"Beach, pub and supermarket all within 10 minutes walk of an excellent accommodation and facilities, so yes it ticks all the boxes for a great holiday stay."
-
"A nice property in a good location for the seafront and just a short walk from the centre of Hunstanton."
A Tesco supermarket is a 5 minute walk away as are bus stops for the excellent Coastliner service. The cottage has most things you'll need for a short stay but 'frequent flyers' with Sykes will realise that this is basic accommodation and the welcome pack, for example, is limited to just a few typed sheets of information. Simple additions like hooks behind doors, a toilet roll holder, blackout blinds for the bedroom windows, appliance instructions etc could improve the overall experience.
-
"The accommodation was fabulous, it was spacious and well kitted out."
The location was great, just a short walk to the beach and into town. I'd definitely book this accommodation again.
-
"Ideal base for exploring north Norfolk"
-
"Absolutely delighted with the cleanliness and comforts of our cottage."
First class for what we required. Will be booking again and would recommend to all. Thankyou.
-
"Very nice cottage in a quiet location."
Close to shops, places to eat, Tesco supermarket and beach. There are two arcade places near by but we never heard any noise/music from them in our cottage, there is also the large funfair nearer in to Hunstanton but this was only open during the day at the weekend and again we did not hear any noise from it but this could be different during the summer months. All in all we were very happy with our stay in this cottage and will most likely return here next year.
-
"This is the first time booking with Sykes so was slightly apprehensive."
We needn't have worried. Everything went smoothly, from booking, right through to the holiday itself. The cottage is in a perfect location and just 5mins walk from Hunstanton beach and with the town and supermarket within walking distance too. Great holiday. Would recommend the cottage.
-
"Had a wonderful week in our holiday cottage even when the beast from the east returned we were lovely & cosy."
I would recommend the accommodation to all
-
"Enjoyed every minute of our holiday in 5B."
It was very clean and the owners were extremely helpful and always on hand if we needed anything.
-
"Freindly owners, helpfull and aranged changing of linin Only feedforward ..."
Freindly owners, helpfull and aranged changing of linin Only feedforward would be to get wifi at the properties, this was only necisary as i was there on placement so wifi would of been usefull for doing work

"Lovely cottage."
No wardrobes though. Electric Hob difficult to use. Otherwise highly recommended.
-
"This was a lovely clean, comfortable and spacious holiday home."
Short walk to Tescos and a short drive to Sainsburys. About half a mile to Hunstanton, with plenty of shops and a lovely fish and chip shop just round the corner. We found that the double bed was comfortable but because there was a slate floor throughout the bed would start rolling down the bedroom because the head board was connected to the wall not the bed, and the bed had castors. Rugs would be nice at side of bed as floor was cold when getting out of bed. A shower mat and soap dish would have been nice in the bathroom. The shower worked really well and the heating was also very good. I would have scored this place 10 if it was not for these few things.
-
"The cottage was fantastic and in a great location."
We had a problem with the oven while we were there and the owner could not have been more helpful. We had a really great holiday.
