  • "Brook House is an extremely well situated cottage in the heart of Castleton; near to eateries, village stores and local attractions i."

    E. Peveril Castle, Mam Tor, caverns and miles of walking from the doorstep. The cottage is very well appointed and comfortable too. Only thing to be aware of is the very low beam in the largest bedroom on the top floor and limited parking; though you are made aware of this by the owners. May need to consider the flights of stairs and bench seating at dining table. (This is seen in cottage photos.) We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend Brook House if you like a cottage to be homely with well considered furnishings, appliances and accommodating owners. For us a five star cottage. Thank you.

Dear Diane, thanks for your great review. We are pleased that you had a great stay in our lovely cottage. Please come visit again soon. Merry Christmas, Rob & Ben Property Owner

  • "I have stayed in a number of cottages in Castleton over the years and all of them have been very nice with nothing to complain about."

This is the best out of all of them. Very clean, plenty of room, good facilities and the most comfortable bed that I have ever slept in. Castleton has plenty of pubs, cafes and small shops, but is a small place, so the cottage is close to all of them. I can't say anything bad about this cottage.

Dear Carl, thank you for taking the time to post your review on Brook House. It really means the world to us that you had a fantastic stay. Comfort is one of our top priorities, so to read that one of our beds was the most comfortable you have ever slept in makes us very happy! • "The situation of the cottage was ideal."

All you needed was available in the cottage. I recommend you advise visitors the length of the parking bay as our zaphira only just fitted the space. Bit scarey parking each day! Brilliant feel to Castleton but maybe inform your visitors that at weekends pre booking restaurants is essential. THANK YOU FOR A BRILLIANT STAY.

Dear Herbert, We are both so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at BrookHouse. Thank you for your suggestions, we shall pass them on to future guests. Please do come and stay again soon. Best wishes, Rob & Ben Property Owner

  • "Fantastic cottage, comfortable and clean with every essential piece of equipment and more."

First class location for visiting all the attractions in the Peak District. However, be warned that the cottage can only safely park one car and it is extremely difficult to find suitable parking for any other. The public car park is only a few hundred yards away and will cost £7 for an overnight stay. We managed to park by the church.

Dear Wendy, We are so pleased that you found everything at Brookhouse to your liking and comfort. Thank you for bringing the car parking to our attention, as you have mentioned it is possible to park one car at the property. Any additional cars can be parked on the roadside at various places throughout the village or in the carpark located just along from the cottage. We hope you will come and stay with us again soon. Well equipped property. Everything you could possibly need is there and then some! The quality of everything in the.cottage is clear to see and it was.immaculately clean. The location is great. Just steps away from all the great facilities.Carleton has to offer yet tucked away so it's nice and.private and quiet.Parking is a bit of a challenge and only one fairly small car will fit in the space but you can park on the street in a.lot of Castleton - try down the side.of The Nags Head. We found it.more.convenient however to park in the car park where the tourist office is. £7 for a.24 your period so quite reasonable but make sure you have change as the.machines don't take cards. And if you use the access by walking to the right when you leave the house it's about 50 yards away! We had a great time in what is a wonderful part of the country and would.certainly recommend this
