"Beautiful barn conversion, great family weekend away, property was exactly as stated in the write up."
Spaceous and comfy. Nice touch with complimentary wine, and cake. Kitchen was very well equipped, coffee, tea, milk, foil, dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid all provided. Just one little problem 9.30am check out is far too early with a family especially when you have two small babies, would have loved to have had relaxed breakfast before our journey home to finish off a splendid weekend. Dad's and children loved the games room
Staff great, keen to help. Due to storms we had power cut, Chloe and her team were one hand with kettles, stoves lights etc...
"We absolutely loved Troopers Barn!"
From the first moment we walked in (and found wine and cake ready to welcome us!) The place was spotless, and amazing for family groups with children. Our little ones loved exploring the house and playing hide and seek. Our bigger ones loved the games room, chilling in the big lounge in the evenings with everyone watching movies, and the hot tub. The countryside is beautiful. We had an amazing time, thank you!
"We had a brilliant time staying at troopers lodge!"
It was everything that we wanted and more! All the guests had a lovely time! I would highly recommend this accommodation to everyone!
"The accommodation was extremely comfortable, clean, well-equipped and the hosts responded very quickly and helpfully to queries."
The only criticisms that we had were that the bed in the upstairs bedroom with ensuite was uncomfortable (mattress saggy and the whole bed moved when one person rolled over) and a pair of kitchen scissors would be useful. The location was lovely and we all really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
"Accommodation was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful, excellent week, would recommend"
"Troopers Barn was an ideal propery for our needs."
4 branches of our family got together after all doing covid tests. The propery was spacious and very well equiped. The outside space at the rear of the property was great for bbq's and a lot of use was made of the hot tub.
"Could do with a decent frying pan and decent pillows."
"Gorgeous property spotlessly clean."
Disappointed with king size bed. Mattress very uncomfortable and could do with replacing. Hot tub amazing.
"The accomodation was lovely and exceeded my expectations."
The games room could benefit from some updating (equipment and games are not in great condition), but it was still very enjoyable and I would stay there again.
"Fabulous place - We were so pleased that Troopers Barn lived up to our expectations for our family Christmas gathering."
Lovely accommodation and plenty of room for all. Very well stocked kitchen cupboards -they think of everything. The hot tub was very well maintained throughout our stay .
"Well equipped, warm and comfortable, perfect location for exploring the Shropshire hills."
Very positive experience.
"Very well appointed accommodation that was comfortable for eight adults."
We had one dog and the field opposite was very handy to exercise him in. The property owner was friendly and accessible without being intrusive. Although Troopers Barn is in a complex with other properties but there is plenty of car parking and there is a private patio at the rear with a hot tub. The location is rural, needing a vehicle to go to shops, pubs or restaurants so we’ll worth taking supplies with you.
"Lovely converted barn in a rural location."
Cottage was well equipped and clean, with plenty of space for all 11 of us. The hot tub is great to wind down at the end of the day too. The cottages are quite remote, but only 30-40 min drive to a whole host of good attractions and beautiful countryside. The owners and staff at the holiday homes couldn’t have been more helpful. Would 100% recommend to anyon
"Excellent location peaceful hot tub and games room added bonus"
"Idyllic setting and very comfortable well appointed holiday recluse."
Great for a big family like ours would highly recommend
Absolutely beautiful. Only thing I would fault is that a number of us had to have freezing cold showers :-(
"We had a fabulous family long weekend break."
Perfect size for us. Lots to do nearby. Great space for the dogs (although we didn’t take ours on this occasion). Would recommend!
"Friendly, exactly as advertised and more, 3rd stay, and same each time, brilliant"
"The cottage was clean, warm & spacious."
It had everything we needed for a great family weekend . The owners were very friendly & helpful & left us a lovely cake & wine on arrival! The hot tub was a success. Could do with more outside lighting. Thankyou.
"The hosts were fantastic and the accommodation was brilliant."
Located in beautiful countryside and plenty to explore locally.
The little touches such as tea, coffee, cake and wine on arrival were great. The cottage was stunning and all of our party were delighted with the rooms and facilities.
"Troopers barn was a superb base for the three generations of our family."
The facilities were excellent and we all loved the hot tub! Shropshire had plenty of places to visit all of which we enjoyed, but the best of all was the Victorian village. We had a fantastic family holiday and I would highly recommend Troopers barn to anyone looking for a place to stay.
"An excellent base to visit Shropshire."
