"We enjoyed our weekend at Barafundle House and would definitely stay there again!"
It was very homely and comfortable with all that you could possibly need to hand. It was spotlessly clean on arrival and thought the dog basket was a lovely touch.
"What a beautiful house in an exquisite location, so close to the town and beaches and surrounding walks."
Myself, my daughter and grandchildren had a wonderful week again at Barafundle House. The house is very roomy, clean, has all the facilities you could ever need and is indeed a 'home from home' while you are away. This was our second visit to Barafundle House and I hope it will not be our last. The owners have done a superb job in every aspect of the property's role as a holiday rental home. I can find nothing to be critical about and I highly recommend Barafundle House as a holiday stay. Booking through Sykes Cottages was also an easy task. Wished I was still there.
"The location of the cottage was perfect, short 3 min walk to town and beach."
Peaceful location in town. We had everything we needed in the cottage and the owner left lots of info about the cottage and things to do around. We had a great time and absolutely love Tenby.
"The gaps between the floorboards are just waiting for items to be lost down then."
Could do with another bathroom as the property advertises sleeping 8!!!
"Wonderful place, very close to the centre of town"
"Wonderful stay over Christmas at Barafundle House."
We visit Tenby at least twice a year, and out of all the places we've stayed, I think this is the one that we'd always prefer to return to. It's a real home from home, a beautiful house that is extremely well kitted out. You'll want for nothing here, and it's so nice (and rare in Tenby centre) to have some outside space too, especially with dogs. Location is perfect. Turn left out of the front door and in 5 mins you are on South beach. Turn right out of the front door and you've reached North beach even quicker. A little gem that's actually not so little....it's a very spacious house inside. Can't recommend Barafundle enough, and will definitely return. Thanks to the hosts for providing everything you could possibly need, including the most incredibly comfy bed in the Master bedroom. Fantastic place.
"Loved this house , near the town, & beaches, sainsburys just 5 min walk."
Managed to park my car in the street , limited spaces , but we were lucky to get one right opposite barafundle house. On entering the property it was very clean on arrival , nice & roomy , bed very comfy , I had the king size or it could be 2 single , very quirky, the sauna was lovely, I didn't use it but few of them did in the family, & their feed back was it was good. Lovely enclosed garden for the dogs, I will definitely be returning here. Lovely find Thank you

A great family cottage super position close to town centre and beaches lots of bars and restaurants and plenty of different activities all readily accessible and nearby
"The house was lovely - a great location, very comfortable, nicely decorated, pretty courtyard and had everything we needed."
"Lovely house, very spacious & great central location near shops, beaches pubs & cafes."
Very quiet location & parking space was a bonus. Our only downside of this property was its cleanliness- kitchen utensils, bathroom were filthy. The outside space is lovely but needs a good tidy.. It wasn't possible to use the outside dining table because of overgrown trees & bushes.
"Great location, very comfortable homely feeling house , everything we needed was there… we will stay again."
"Cannot fault Barafundle House, so comfortable with everything you need including a coffee machine which was a great surprise and welcome bonus."
5 mins walk from beach and everything on your doorstep. The only thing that I missed was having a separate shower attachment on the bath so I could wash my hair without taking a shower but hardly a deal breaker! Tenby is gorgeous and the beaches are breath-taking, very dog friendly as was Barafundle House with dark carpets and wooden floors and a welcome pack for us and the dog!
"Could do with an updated picture of front of house in your details as it's now blue with a new front door"
Thanks for you feedback. We have changed the external photograph to show the new blue paint colour. Property Owner
"A lovely house, spacious, near shops and the sea but in a quiet location."
Tenby is a great place to stay and we will definitely be returning.
"Cottage was in great location - 2 minutes from beach, 2 mins from town centre, 2 mins from supermarket."
It was very well equipped and had useful baby gate for keeping dogs in the kitchen/outdoor area. Our first visit to Pembrokeshire - Tenby is fantastic; sandy beaches, blue calm sea and NO LITTER anywhere. Plenty of good restaurants. We travelled around the area to do 5 mile(ish) walks with dogs and coastline is stunning. One of our favourite UK holidays.
Cottage had everything we needed and great location. Lovely touch of Welsh cakes , milk and prosecco left for us. And goodies basket for the dog. Would definitely recommend and return.
"Barafundle House is an ideal holiday home close to the town and beaches."
The house is comfortable and spacious and the owners have provided everything you would need. There is a child / dog safe enclosed garden which is very private. The dog welcome pack was a lovely gesture. A lovely time was had by all. Thank you Phil and Rhian.
"Perfect location right in the centre of the town."
Really big house and garden, be perfect in the summer if you wanted to sit out the garden. Will definitely be going back!
"Comfortable house in a great central location within walking distance of the centre, sea, shops and restaurants."
The road is quiet and we found it easy to park locally. The house has everything you need and more and despite there being 7 of us and a dog it felt spacious and relaxing. Lovely little touches to welcome you such as milk, welsh cakes and fizz. We will definitely book the house again.
"Wardrobe space very limited Wanting you to take rubbish away with you on last ..."
Wardrobe space very limited Wanting you to take rubbish away with you on last day, which I refuse to do so A lot of cracks in ghd walls, ie plaster A lot of dust etc under furniture Sauna, really waste of time
Thank you for your feedback. We have taken on board your comments and guests can now leave rubbish at Barafundle House provided it is correctly sorted into general waste and recycling. We have also had the garden walls repointed. Both of the double bedrooms have a wardrobe, I am sorry if this was not sufficient for you, but the space available is limited. Property Owner
"Very good position close to the town centre and easy access to the local beaches, nearby is a sainsburys, bus station and tenby railway station so transport links are very good."
The house was warm and roomy and quiet at night.big king size bed was difficult to get off as it was so welcoming ! the only let down was the poor quality of the internal doors, particularly the latches which where years out of date and did nothing for this great property. would i go back?.......yes,and we cant wait.
Probably the best holiday cottage I have stayed in
"A beautiful cottage with well thought out extras - Welsh cakes on arrival and tea/coffee and a dog basket full of doggy essentials in case you forget something for your fluffy friend!"
And right in the heart of Tenby! We will be back!

About the location
Pembroke 11 miles; Carmarthen 26 miles.
The bustling seaside resort of Tenby, known within Wales as “The Jewel in the Crown", is majestically positioned on the spectacularly beautiful 'Welsh Riviera'. Tenby is part of the stunning 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coast National Park where the water is warmed by the Gulf Stream and the county is one of the sunniest places in the UK. Enclosed by medieval walls, this beautiful town features a maze of cobbled streets, hosting an array of quirky shops, indoor locally-sourced food market, tea rooms and tempting restaurants. Almost three miles of stunning, Blue Flag-awarded beaches provide a variety of watersports, whilst walkers and cyclists can enjoy the local flora and fauna on the coastal paths, something the competitors of the world-renowned Tenby Iron-Man contest (held in mid-September) haven’t time for! A boat trip to Caldey Island is recommended to enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the monastery and island scenery, and you can enjoy seal and puffin sightings en-route! Explore the magnificent Tudor Merchant's House, or visit the nearby resorts of Saundersfoot or Manobier. For teens and younger visitors, Oakwood Theme Park provides a brilliant, fun-filled day out whilst Folly Farm offers everything from old-fashioned fairground rides to animals both local and exotic! The perfect location for an enjoyable and varied holiday.
