• "When we first saw this flat online, it looked lovely, and it is an attractive flat."

  However, it is above a cafe which plays quite loud music from 7.30am until it closes. We spoke to the cafe owner who was very nice and he pointed out that it is a business (which we understood) and people seemed to like the music. He agreed to not start the music until 8am which was good of him. With regards to the flat, there were a couple of hygiene issues: I had to wash a few glasses before using them; a mug had been put back into the cupboard which looked dirty and had a big stain of coffee inside (possibly the dishwasher didn't clean it but I simply got the scourer and cleaned it); a couple of items of cutlery were dirty and had not been checked as a serving utensil had a bit of rice stuck to it and a spoon also had a bit of food stuck to it; a frying pan had old grease that hadn't been washed properly and one of the oven trays also had old food stains. The glass table in the conservatory had a few old food stains which I cleaned before we sat down to eat. The stairs to the upper bedroom are quite steep and become narrow near the top where they wind round and could be very difficult for older people, and there is no guard between the stairs and bathroom which could be hazardous (very tricky to navigate especially without sufficient hand rails). The second bedroom's mattress is awful I'm sorry to say; it appears to be old and the springs occasionally went 'boing' from sinking into them so we slept pretty badly the first couple of nights but moved to the large room once our guests had gone. I used the washing machine to do one load and my washing came out hot(!) which may indicate that it is incorrectly plumbed in. I used a 30 degree temperature but my washing came out hot instead of cold. As a result, two of my lovely white bras came out a pale yellow from my yellow t-shirt which has never happened before as I am careful about mixing colours. The t-shirt has been washed many times and the colour has never run. The clothes airer has a leg missing and so I had to prop it up against a chair. The sofas look very attractive but, like one of the mattresses, you sink into them and it was quite difficult to get out of them. The flat was extremely warm all of the time due to the weather being so hot and I would recommend bringing some fans. Woodbridge is a really nice place to explore and there are many places to enjoy. I would say that the flat needs some attention to detail and to check that 'everything' is clean. I'm afraid we won't be going back there.

  The flat is above a cafe which opens at 8am. The cafe plays music. With the windows open in the flat (due to the warm weather) the music was intrusively loud. I do not recall the booking info saying anything about the cafe and I feel people should be aware about the noise from the cafe. The sofas and chairs in the lounge had fairly grubby covers which needed a good clean, or should be re-covered. The conservatory was basically unusable - too hot, and also dirty. Needs a good clean. In the ensuite bathroom for the bedroom off the dining room, the extractor fan doesn't work, and one of the light bulbs constantly flickers.

  Hello Mrs Hurst, Thank you for your feedback. It is very much appreciated particularly as my husband and I have recently taken over the property and the existing bookings. I have the furniture cleaning planned for July when we have a appropriate gap in bookings to allow them to dry. Similarly with an electrician to sort out the flickering light and extractor. We are also in conversation with the cafe owner regarding the music and the housekeeping team regarding the sun room. Once again thank you for taking the time to get in touch.
