"A comfortable home in a tree lined quiet road."

Newly decorated, clean and everything we needed, although we would’ve liked a colander or sieve to rinse pasta. Good powerful shower, efficient boiler and loo

"Thank you for responding about the ants inside the property in the sitting room and upstairs bathroom on the Friday night on our arrival."

Sending the housekeeper on the Saturday with Antkilller was appreciated and sorted the issue. When the housekeeper came to sort the ants we also told her about the broken shower fitting. No bath. The shower head would not attach to the main pole and holster so had to hold during showering. Our final complaint was the Thursday evening of our stay where after a shower at 8 pm we could not turn off the already annoying shower. Once our children were in bed we attempted to turn off the stop cock under the sink. We knocked on your neighbours door and kindly lent us a screw driver set. The stop cock under the sink would not stop the water flow even though it would turn and turn. We turned the shower temp to cold and rang you David and Sykes critical phone numbers no reply from either, on more than one attempt. At 8.53pm we rang emergency plumber and by 9.30pm he arrived. His name is Jaden Ashton. I can forward you the invoice in fact Sykes haven’t asked for that. He needed to go up into the loft to isolate the shower, whilst up there he discovered a large leak, he took a photo which I emailed to Sykes. So his charge was £204 which we have paid. On Friday, as we left the property I began ringing Sykes cottages to complain. Please can you reply to Sykes cottages David as it is now 2 weeks we are still out of pocket. I can say we will not be staying at the Angel’s Rest again.

    "We loved the house."

Beautifully decorated and well equipped. We had a couple of issues with things while we were there and the owner was super quick to help and get them sorted for us. Only one change I would recommend is some curtains over the blinds in the bedrooms, it gets light very early now and we struggled to sleep a bit. Otherwise a lovely property we would recommend to others.

"The house was very comfortable, warm and conveniently situated in the quiet residential street."

We found it too perfumed for our taste and there were far too many cushions on the beds! We requested a change of sheets, which we would happily have done ourselves had there been some, and we needed spare blankets. Also instructions for heating, the dishwasher etc would have been welcome!
