It was immaculate and beautifully furnished, felt luxurious and well equipped. We didn't struggle to find parking and slept very well.

"Lovely wee house."
Really enjoyed our stay there. Village was also very nice but we didn’t get much of a chance to enjoy it as we were down for the F1.
Owners were also very helpful. Would stay again.

"We spent a lovely week at Hudson House."
The property had lots of character & was old & quirky but had all modern facilities. We always found a parking space close by & the High Street was busy but not enough to bother us. Lots of places to visit within a half hour drive. We would not hesitate to return. Thank you

"Had a fantastic New Year's week trip to Stoney Stratford to see family."
The Cottage was really clean and comfortable with easy control central heating, Kitchen was impressive with all equipment supplied, allowing us to cook a new years day meal for family, we even did some baking with our grand daughter! She also discovered "guess who" in the well stocked book and games cupboard, never read so many mr men books! Water pressure on taps was a little low at times making a slow process filling the bath, however shower was excellent. A cot was provided for our latest grand daughter to arrive which was helpful. Parking nearby was hit and miss, a space nearby if you got lucky! Overall a great little cottage in a lovely village near to Milton Keynes. Lots of Restaurants nearby, some really good walks close by too(Cosgrove circular-very good)! we hope to book again when returning to see family! Many Thanks

"Cottage was as described, well equipped and a perfect location for our visit."
Every detail was well thought out even down to dog bowls should you have forgotten your own!
Overall we had a great stay and would definitely use again if visiting the area.

"Lovely property in a beautiful little town."
It was perfect location for us to see Bletchley Park, Stowe gardens ,family and friends. Lots of great places to eat. The Italian next door delivers the best GF pasta we have tasted. My husband loved the pizzas.
Very accurate listing- the stairs are steep and the upstairs floor is not level. This is not a problem unless you do have a disability. It is very well equipped. The non stick pans have been misused by some guests and some do need replacing. Maybe supply silicone spatulas and spoons. We did bring some with us.
It had lots of things available that just helped- a large umbrella etc.
The bed was comfortable, the towels and linens were good quality.
Overall we would highly recommend Hudson House and we would certainly think about staying there again.

The property was spotlessly clean and very well equipped it was just perfect!
Must try Italian (Casa) restaurant next door, we had an amazing meal and very friendly staff with a 15% discount because we were staying at Hudson house.

"Lovely cottage."
Handy location for town (shops, pubs, restaurants literally next door) although noisy when pubs come out (to be expected).
Nearly everything you need. The exception being a decent cooling fan. One was supplied but it was poor. It was exceptionally hot but luckily we brought our own fan as one wasn't listed. Given the heat Britain now gets a decent fan is essential.
We found the instruction for the refuge confusing as we couldn't work out where to put the refuge in the outhouse. The description did warn about access to the top floor was awkward which was true. You had to hold onto a knotted rope to ensure you did not slip. Definitely not for young children, or the infirm.
The cleanliness was exceptional with no smell of pets. It was great you could park at the door if you were lucky. There was plenty of free parking elsewhere if you couldn't park in front of the door.
A nice touch was the food and drink supplied which we appreciated.
It was a lovely, quirky, cottage well worth a stay ideally located for shops, pubs and restaurants with a nice river walk close by.

We’ve taken your comments onboard and have ordered two propellor-type fans for the house (the electric ones we have are more for heating in the winter, and not as effective for cooling), so hopefully those will help during the heatwaves the UK is experiencing. "Hudson House was simply excellent and I wish we were staying longer than 2 nights."
Some people may not like the ‘character’ upper floors, especially if unsure with their balance, but for us it added to the charm of the property. Great location. Made use of the Italian next door (and the discount), plus the local pubs and shops. If needing to come back to the area again this would be my first port of call. Thank you

"One of the best properties we have stayed in over the years."
The quality of the white goods is excellent. Very comfortable sitting room. Never had such a good shower in a rental property; plenty of hot water and power.
The "Welcome Book" is comprehensive in its contents, which is very helpful.
Hudson House has some history to it and this is evident in the décor, which is highly appropriate.
Stony Stratford High St is vibrant with lots of hospitality outlets and several independent shops. Great dog walking from Hudson House.
All in all a great find!

"Hudson House Cottage is one of the prettiest cottages we have stayed in."
It is beautifully decorated, quirky and in the centre of a pretty village. We felt welcomed by our hosts who no doubt love their cottage! Loads of local walks and easy access to main roads, National Trust or English Heritage sites. Everything we needed during our stay was available in the property. We cannot wait to return, we had such a lovely time there! Thank you Hudson House for a lovely break :)

"This is a very comfortable and well maintained house."
Nice fixtures and fittings and well equipped throughout.
The position within the town is good although we did have late night/early morning disturbances, which kept us awake.
Owner does warn about the stairs up to the top floor, but I’m fit and able bodied and I found them very difficult. Lighting is dim which doesn’t help.
It’s a characterful property but just be mindful of the stairs and upstairs floors.
Thank you for your constructive feedback, Michael. We live close by and we were also woken by the noise last weekend. It’s very rare for this to happen in Stony Stratford but I suppose it’s part of being on the high street. I’m very sorry you were disturbed. I’ll also be sure to double-warn guests about the top-floor staircase, it’s a very old property and comes with its quirks – we’ve fitted the handrail but appreciate it can still be tricky for some to climb. We hope you had a lovely stay, regardless of these issues.

Stony Stratford is a beautiful village just on the outskirts of Milton Keynes.Hudson House is in immaculate condition and very clean and comfortable the house is very quaint I can’t praise the house enough I love it here.

"We had a lovely recent stay at Hudson House."
Everything was to hand and the owners had left us some goodies which were very much appreciated. Hudson House is delightful in all ways and the position in the high street with easy short walks to restaurants and shops was the icing on the cake. We will return.

"Gorgeous place with such a historic but cosy feel."
Loved the original floorboards and oak beams upstairs, kitchen was a dream and the sitting room was lovely. The street it’s on is great too. Will be back.
