“Location of cottage was fantastic, lovely Cotswold village.”

The cottage itself was a small two up, two down with a pleasant outside sitting area. However the inside was in need of some upgrading and would of benefitted from a good clean. Generally dusty and surfaces dirty. Lots of knickknacks in lounge area making it feel cluttered. Cottage is up for sale- maybe the owners no longer feeling the need to present their property at it's best? Would definitely visit and stay in the area again though.

“All in all is a good stay in this nice cottage.”

The location is quite good,it is in the middle of the village, it's convenient to go to the village shop and pub. The village is beautiful and quite. It's worth to stay. The living room and kitchen is quite good and feel ease. But the two bedrooms seems a bit old and need to be renovated to live more comfortable. It would be great to consider to equipped with WIFI in this cottage,

The property

A delightful 18th century terraced cottage ideally located in the heart of the pretty village of Hook Norton in the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

As you step inside this charming cottage the owner's personal touches are evident, together with original features such as flagstone floor, exposed stone walls and ceiling beams.

Enter through a porch into the sitting room which has a warming open fire, comfortable seating and a dining area to seat all guests, ideal for catching up over dinner or enjoying a family board game.

To the rear is the well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar and a family bathroom.

Make your way upstairs to the two bright and cheery bedrooms, both having exposed wood floorboards and views over the village.

Outside is a sunny front patio with furniture, perfect for relaxing with a refreshing drink or dining alfresco on a summer's evening.

Take a stroll around the village which has a number of historic buildings, thriving village pubs, restaurants, shop and Post Office as well as the Hook Norton Brewery.

Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water are all close by or take a trip to the riverside town of Banbury, Blenheim Palace or the university city of Oxford.

The birthplace of William Shakespeare, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Warwick with its magnificent castle also make great family days out.

A wonderful cottage for a memorable holiday at any time of year.
