"Harcombe House is beautiful and the grounds it sits in are stunning."
And it is a great base to explore South Devon. We took trips out to Teignmouth and Dawlish. Slightly disappointed that the on-site cafe/bar was closed (we were told that the Fire Fighters Charity were looking for new operators to take it on). However as the bar was closed we went into Chudleigh (1 mile away) and had a great night with friendly locals. A fabulous weekend in a beautiful place.

Chudleigh is an ancient wool town resting in the Teignbridge District area of Devon, with plenty of history and scenic sights to explore at any time of year. The town has a history dating back to the Saxon times, with many place names from this time still being seen today, as well as historical wonders such as caves at Rock, as well as an Iron Age hillfort overlooking the town.
