Couldn't fault the it at all. For a dog friendly lodge it was very impressive. A short walk to a large area to walk your dog. Already booked the lodge to go back next year.

This is my 3rd property I have stayed non this site and this was by far the best views and layout. If I could give 3.5 I would do, this is down to the amenities and cleanliness. The lodge was not clean, it needed a good Deep clean; there was mould/dirt around the bath, the floors were not clean, the drawers and cupboards were really dirty. It also would benefit from a few simple amenities, the other 2 lodges I have stay din have provided basic amenities such as, toilet roll and washing up liquid. There was a small amount of washing up liquid and 2 small rolls of toilet paper (about 1/4 left on each). I understand this isn't included, however it would have been nice to have something or at least n the advert say there is nothing. It's probably more a personal preference, however the others have had it in so I guess I expected it. I did read;lyrics like the fridge with the ice maker and water dispenser, the shower and water pressure was good and the washing machine was a addition (although we didn't use it). I would stay again, it is a lovely lodge and it was a lovely stay.

Great views of valley and of limefitt park site being at the furthest back elevated adjacent to the hay barn inn pub. Peaceful location. Gas hob and cooker instant. Spacious. Comfortable beds. Option to purchase premium park WiFi so good for internet and streaming such as you tube. Ensuite had power shower. Would definitely stay again and is probably the best lodge having stayed at various dog friendly lodges at limefitt.

Would happily book and stay there again. Good location on the park. Park overall very nice and quiet and located well to explore. My only criticism is that although the lodge was clean on arrival, on closer inspection I feel it would benefit from an overall deep clean. It felt and looked like it needed it.

The only downside was the wi-fi, unable to connect to apps/ mobile very slow. Feel this is a must these days and would recommend the accommodation had its own.

It is a lovely spacious lodge with beautiful views, the beds and sofas were very comfortable, There were some maintenance issues ,there is a problem with the boiler not working properly and some radiators in main bedroom not working as with other reviews it hasn't been fixed yet,at one point no hot water either, plus the shower drain in the ensuite doesn't drain properly, its a lovely site we love coming back here, but maybe to a better maintained lodge next time,

Had problems with the bedsheet like others have said and the boiler was playing up and we had to phone maintenance as the electric had gone off but it was rectified very fast . Bathroom mats would be a good addition a bedsheet that fits and better bedroom curtains but otherwise we had a great stay

"We had a lovely stay at Heights view."
The lodge is very comfortable with comfy sofas and beds. It is equipped with everything you could need, and the shower in the en-suite was fantastic The views are stunning and the lodge is just a short walk from the Haybarn Club House. Only two small issues as mentioned in previous review; problem with the boiler on our second last night and the bottom sheet was too small for the bed so popped off every night. These issues didn’t spoil our stay and would book again.

"Very nice lodge."
?recently changed ownership and nicely freshened up. Fantastic location on park. Had a couple of problems during our week long stay ( boiler not working and lodge freezing cold on arrival & bathroom handle came off!!) but Lake District Lodge Holidays (LDLH/Sykes) responded very quickly and sorted. We found the lodge (sofas and beds) very comfortable. Beds are described as “double”. - Clearly not as the double fitted sheets did not fit at all and came off as soon as we got into bed… we saw the funny side of this & once reported had king size sheets supplied which fitted perfectly! Overall the kitchen was very well stocked and We appreciated good quality non stick frying pans and oven trays as we did “self cater” but a few microwave sized bowls would have been appreciated. We suggest the supply of a couple more mugs, forks and cereal/pudding bowls would be useful if, as asked, the dishwasher is only used when full! There were plenty of plates and knives and glasses galore! What ever your interpretation of this review is - we had a fantastic stay & would highly recommend Heights View- we will definitely book again!

Where you’ll be staying
TROUTBECK
Windermere 3 miles; Ambleside 4 miles.
The small Lakeland village of Troutbeck can be found between its more famous neighbours Windermere and Ambleside, close by the Kirkstone Pass. A mixture of houses, cottages and farms, the village is scattered along a narrow lane bordered by a drystone wall. Many of these buildings date back to the 17th Century with features such as mullioned windows and heavy cylindrical chimneys and the northern end boasts its own 17th century inn. Close by, the bustling towns of Windermere and Ambleside are popular with visitors, providing a range of amenities to suit all tastes. Lake Windermere offers boat trips, including the lakeside ferry to the Lakeside Aquarium and Grizedale Forest Park. The ‘Windermere Steamboat Museum’ displays a fascinating collection of boats whilst children will enjoy the ‘World of Beatrix Potter’ in Bowness, where technology brings her characters to life. All holiday parks are owned and managed by a separate company to ourselves. Lake District Lodge Holidays has no association with the owners of these parks or responsibility for the provision of services they offer. At certain times of year, there maybe a reduction in those services, which is outside of our control.
Commercial vehicles, caravans, camper vans, Hen or Stag parties are not permitted onsite. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and are not be left alone in the lodges at any point during your stay.
You will be staying on an operational holiday park, which means work may be undertaken from time to time by the park owners during your stay. Although Lake District Lodge Holidays will always try to inform guests in advance if something may impact on a stay and if we have prior knowledge. We cannot be held responsible or accept any liability for park operations which are outside of our control and which we have no knowledge of.
Any issues relating to a stay at a privately owned lodge should be reported back through Lake District Lodge Holidays as the park are not responsible for managing the lodge or booking for private sublet guests during their stay.
