The property

This superb ground-floor apartment is set in the unbeatable coastal location of Llanaber, 1 mile from the bustling resort of Barmouth.

Accessed via a steep narrow lane from the main road with the added advantage of parking outside your front door.

The apartment is attached to the owner’s home, but offers full self-catering and has the convenience of personal supervision, ensuring high standards.

Perfect for a small family or group of friends, the accommodation is in a prime location to enjoy the delights of the coastline and Snowdonia National Park.

Enter into the sitting room, here you will find a cosy setup with a sofa and two armchairs to relax into, plus a TV with a DVD player and a selection of movies to watch, books to read and games to play.

Take three steps down into the kitchen/diner which is appointed with a host of appliances including a microwave, double oven and full-sized fridge/freezer.

Sit at the dining table with family to enjoy a lovingly-prepared home-cooked meal with a glass of wine.

Or buy the traditional seaside food - fish and chips from one of the several shops in Barmouth.

The bedrooms’ are situated along a hallway off the kitchen and include a family room with double and single bed, and a separate single room, which can be used by younger guests, friends or grandparents.

There is also a stunning shower room finished in gloss black tiling so you can prepare for the day in style.

Patio doors lead to the attractive patio garden where you can settle back and watch for passing porpoise, windsurfers, kites and kestrels, (bring your binoculars!) The only sounds you will hear are birds singing and waves crashing.

A gentle stroll down the lane takes you to the extensive sandy beach.

You can walk for several miles in either direction when the tide is out or just soak up the sun away from the bustle of the world.

Alternately saunter along the promenade (or take the land train during the summer) which leads you into the busy seaside town of Barmouth.

Here you will find unique shops and a large variety of cafes, pubs and restaurants together with the usual selection of seaside shops and attractions.

Barmouth also has a traditional working harbour where you can see the famous 150 year old Barmouth Bridge, yachts and fishing boats coming and going or, once again, just relax at one of the harbourside eateries to watch the world go by.

Keen walkers and natural lovers will be delighted to know that the apartment is also within easy reach of the Snowdonia area, Cader Idris, Coed y Brenin Forest, and Gwydir Forest Park.

A great base to make the most of the varied coastal and inland attractions of North Wales.

About the location

Barmouth near Llanaber

Harlech 10 miles; Dolgellau 10 miles.

One of the most picturesque resorts on the Welsh coast, Barmouth is surrounded by the unrivalled splendour of the Snowdonia National Park. This traditional seaside town, where mountains meet the sea, boasts an enormous sandy Blue Flag beach, perfect for families. A variety of shops, pubs and restaurants combined with the mild climate, make this an ideal destination for a holiday, even out of season. A paradise for walkers, climbers and cyclists, Cader Idris and Coed Y Brenin are nearby. There is an abundance of wildlife along the magnificent Mawddach Estuary, trout fishing in mountain lakes or sea fishing from the beach.
