The pretty village of Hartland is Devon's most northwesterly settlement, situated in the heart of the stunning Hartland Heritage Coast. Just a short distance from the coast, you can enjoy the perfect balance of quaint Devonshire countryside and stunning coastline on a Hartland cottage holiday.
Our Hartland holiday cottages are perfect for exploring this extraordinary stretch of the Devon coast. Visit incredible attractions like Lundy Island and Docton Mill Gardens, marvel at the sensational landscape and enjoy the regional delicacies at the numerous pubs and restaurants. Just a short drive South will take you into neighbourimg Cornwall and the seaside resort of Bude, and head North to explore Bideford and Westward Ho!.
Hartland is a peaceful village, but you can still find useful amenities and charming local businesses, including craft shops, potteries, cafés and restaurants. The main street is a long strip, featuring cottages either side, leading to the town square. Keen walkers can take the Coastal Heritage Walk from neighbouring hamlet Stoke; this sometimes tricky pursuit is approximately four miles and takes on part of the South West Coast Path along the way. Enjoy views of the coastline from Hartland Point, head to nearby Hartland Quay on the Atlantic coast and pay a visit to the Shipwreck Museum.
