Bronte Country is an area of the South Pennine Hills. named for being the birthplace of the famous Bronte sisters. The family of famous wordsmiths who not only lived in the area but also based many of their novels there.

Much of the inspiration for their renowned stories was taken from the natural and dramatic landscapes. The famous house on the hill that features in Wuthering Heights is believed to be based on Top Withens. The location is ideal for a rural escape, wander through charming countryside and soak up the natural terrain.

Haworth is a pretty village in the country, which has picturesque buildings and a pleasant selection of local shops. Also find the Bronte Parsonage Museum, ideal for tourists looking to learn the family’s compelling past.
