Many visitors bring boots and maps for high fell and riverside walking at their best. Trek from the village up the slopes of Great Whernside for sweeping vistas across the Dales. Or head slightly further afield to Buckden Pike, offering equally impressive views and site of a memorial monument dedicated to a Polish aircrew who lost their lives here during WW2. Cycling and caving are other popular activities, while climbers will love the challenge of nearby Kilnsey Crag, with its daring overhang.

If cruising in comfort along country lanes holds more appeal, you'll be pleased to know your Kettlewell cottage makes a great starting point for some fantastic drives.
