Laggan Cottages
Please find below a selection of self catering holiday cottages
to rent in Laggan, Scotland.
Choose a Laggan cottage and you'll think you've landed
on the set for 'Glenbogle' of 'Monarch of the Glen'
fame. In a way you have, though Laggan is far from fictitious. Even
the local shop may look familiar. And when it comes to looking
after the self-catering holidaymaker, the Laggan Stores really does
impress, stocking a surprising selection of goods and offering an
online ordering and delivery service in time for your arrival.
The sleepy village of Laggan provides an idyllic base from which
to tour the Central Highlands and there's a variety of things
to see and do.
Take Strathmashie Forest, for example, featuring a series of
woodland walks as well as off-road cycle routes graded blue to
black - an absolute must for devoted mountain bikers. Pony trekking
is also popular.
For other adventure sports, including white water rafting, clay
pigeon shooting, quad biking, archery, gorge walking and
paintballing, these and more are on offer at the Ardverikie Estate,
not far from the village. There's also an 18-hole golf course
at nearby Newtonmore.
Fancy a wee dram? Savour the smooth, full-bodied malt of
Dalwhinnie, one of Scotland's highest distilleries and close to
Laggan. And when you want a night off from cooking, both of the
village's hotels serve tasty bar meals; or there's a wider
choice of restaurants in Newtonmore.
Golden eagles, osprey and red stags have made this spectacular
region their home. Why don't you, if only for a week or two in
one of our Laggan cottages?
