Almscliffe Crag Walk

The Almscliffe Crag Walk is a circular hike that starts at the River Wharfe parking area. You can then follow the hike through the charming villages of Weeton and North Rigton while admiring views of the crag.

After passing the villages’ sights, you can catch sight of Harewood House with its renowned red kites.

After passing the house, you’ll face an uphill hike up to Almscliffe Crag. Why not stop for a picnic here while you take in those magnificent views?

Pass through the enchanting Riffa Wood on the way back. Here, you can go for a detour and stop at the historic Indian Stone.

After leaving the wood, follow the A658 towards the River Wharfe. After crossing Pool Bridge at the river, turn right to return to your starting point.

Enjoy a scenic hike packed with pretty sights to this rugged landmark…
