As a pub-style bookshop, Beerwolf Books Freehouse specialises in secondhand and remaindered literary fiction, alongside local Cornish ales.

Beerwolf Books Freehouse

The unique aspect of this place is that you can read the books while enjoying a delicious draught Cornish ale or cider or a coffee.

This hidden gem is located right next to the St Mawes ferry terminal, close to a drangway. It’s a mock-Tudor house on the outside, but you’ll find a traditional bar inside and a bookshop that will surely appeal to book lovers.

Spend some time browsing the shelves, picking up a book, and then enjoying a pleasant read with a drink. You will also find free board games and a pinball machine here.

You can also bring your own food, which makes it an excellent way to spend an hour or three in a casual atmosphere. Discovered by chance, it’s quirky, forward-thinking, and bursting with activity.
