This Dartmoor National Park gem is a great outing for all the family and offers plenty to do.
The first thing to do on arrival at the Canonteign Falls Estate is to view the cascade itself! You’ll be in awe of this 220-foot waterfall, which is amidst the highest in England.
Afterwards, why not try your hand at climbing to the top? Alternatively, follow another uphill trail, where you’ll venture up 90 steps to the Fern Garden and top of Lady Exmouth’s falls.
After exerting yourself, be sure to while away the day in Canonteign Falls’ 90-acre estate. An array of easy-going, dog-friendly trails can be embarked on throughout the estate, including the Main Lake Walk and Lower Lake Walk.
Once you’ve made the most of the outdoors, take the kids to the Adventure Playgrounds. Here, they can wear themselves out on the mini assault course and zip wire whilst you watch on.
Visiting Canonteign Kitchen is also a must. Tasty cakes, pastries and hot drinks can be enjoyed in abundance here.
