Deva Roman Discovery Centre
Want to treat yourself and the family to an interactive look into Chester’s Roman past? Come to the Deva Roman Discovery Centre (previously known as Dewa Roman Experience).
Settled in the heart of Chester, this marvellous attraction is easily accessible during a city getaway.
During weekdays, the centre is open 2-6pm, on Saturdays it’s open between 10am-6pm, and on Sundays it’s open between 10am-5pm. Ticket prices are normally between £4-£8.
During a visit you can look forward to learning of the Roman’s stories, genuine artefacts and interactive displays. You can even live life as a Roman here via hands-on exhibits!
A light show also takes place, showcasing the archaeology of the city, with trenches and ruins to explore.
The highlight of the attraction is Soldier School, where you can embark on a march through Chester’s streets with a Roman soldier!
