Mayon Cliff Ship Wreck

In March 2003, the RMS Mulheim ran aground in Gamper Bay between Sennen Cove and Land’s End due to the captain losing consciousness. 19 years later, despite a constant battering from the Atlantic Ocean, the wreck sits on a rocky inlet called Castle Zawn. Much of it’s intact, although it’s rusting with time.

The best way to take in the wreck is from the cliffs above or from the water. Walking down the cliff to the wreck is not advised due to high tides and steep, slippery rocks. Although plenty of adventurers have made their way down to explore and photograph the vessel.

Come and see this once-glorious shipwreck by hiking along Mayon Cliff…
